It is a nice ski resort. However this place doesn't have many slopes to chose from. So I don't recommend having big expectations.

On a very hot day of Romania, when it was 37 degrees in Bucuresti, it was 18 degrees on Poiana Brasov, I and we took teleferic on to the top of mountain. I am sure it is amazing to ski in Brasov . The top was so cool, the air was so fresh. We had a nice time. The plants,... More

A 20 minute drive from Brasov, Poiana is every bit the well worth destination for those mountain fresh air lovers. It has lots of accommodations, restaurants, hiking & trekking opportunities and other actions for all ages. Definitely worth visiting and spending some days.

...nothing to do (besides walking thru the forest) during the summer. The bus taking you there is crowded and without AC. Better take a cab.

I can't attest to the main function of this town which is a ski resort - we visited in June, and just came to eat and wonder around the city. the autmosphere was great, the aurelius hotel is mesmerizing, and it was great time just waling about taking in the scenary!

The entire resort is very quiet, far from any noise, the only things you hear over there are the birds which you cannot see, they are singing hidden beneath the trees.

Very quiet and beautiful village. Good places to eat, and the best part is the amazing mountains around!

To avoid any confusion, I'll start off by saying I did not ski here, so I really don't know anything about it. I've since read it's Romania's most popular ski resort. When I was here, there was no snow on the ground anyway. :P Anyway, I went on an amazing hike here on a cloudy day. The views of the... More

One of my favourite places to visit in Romania. Breathtaking views and great hotels. Never loses its charm. I'm always impressed with its fairytale atmosphere as well.

This is where I went skiing for the first time ever, and it was a great place to do so because I was able to take private lessons for a fraction of the cost of probably all the ski resorts west of here. Definitely recommend a trip here if you're in Romania during the winter and care to do a... More
