The small church was open when we visited during the town festival. Unfortunately, there was a lot of decor and exhibits inside which prevented us from seeing all of the the stunning walls made up of blue tiles. The tiled ceiling was spectacular. I hope I get a chance to visit this church again just to view the stunning interior.

Wow, the tiles!!!

The small church was open when we visited during the town festival. Unfortunately, there was a lot of decor and exhibits inside which prevented us from seeing all of the the stunning walls made up of blue tiles. The tiled ceiling was spectacular.

I hope I get a chance to visit this church again just to view the stunning interior.

Beautiful...

...Is the only word to describe the interior of this late 17th century church! The interior walls are covered in blue tiles depicting stories of the works of the Misericórdia institution
