Just back from the three day kayaking and hiking trip (July'22). Booked via Much Better Adventures. A fantastic trip. The views are incredible and photos do not do it justice. The guide was superb - very knowledgable, chatty, and happy to deal with any query or issue. The equipment was pretty good (the only issue was the water proof jacket which was showing its age with holes in the pockets - we were warned of this before putting phones etc in them). The food was spot on and plentiful. The was a vegetarian and vegan on the trip and they appeared to be very happy with their meals. Smooth transfers with a great host. Accommodation was good, although at my age I would have preferred an air bed in the tent rather than a camping mat. I fully understand the issues with packing an airbed etc, so that is not likely to be an option. The toilet on the camp site we were based at had two "long drop" loo's. I've used these type of loos before on other wilder camp sites, and they always have either saw-dust or soil to cover what you've just left. This one didn't have that and it was not pleasant...think eye wateringly bad... But hey, it's wild camping. I think the kit list could do with a summer / winter option. Maybe add the suggestion of packing tic spray and a small blow up pillow for the camp site. Also suggest that you pack an eye mask as in summer, it doesn't get dark at night so sleeping in a tent could be a struggle. The hike is really tough if you're not particularly fit like me, but flipping heck - the view from the top of the mountain is so worth the effort, along with the feeling of achievement of completing it. I took walking poles with me and they were helpful. An absolutely amazing trip and I'm now looking at other trips that Nordic Adventures do.…

We booked the 3-day excursion through Much Better Adventures, looking for a little something off the beaten track, and this totally delivered! Just the most beautiful landscapes all the way from launching the boats, to the very tops of the mountains surrounding the fjords.
