Don't miss this beauty in the midst of nowhere. Very enjoyable far away from any mass tourism, we loved this place very much.

Family dip in clean lake like locals

Off the beaten track, free parking, take your own food, drinks enjoy the chill. Some of bathing areas are tricky to get in and out but that was the so funny as partner effectively fell much to amusement of our 3 girls. You can probably make a day of it or like us just go for hour or so, worth little detour.

Crystal clear & nicely tucked away lake

Quite easy to access by car, situated between vineyards in South Tuscan landscape, quite close to the coast, a nice little lake with turquoise, crystal clear water. It was sunny but still chilly when we visited in May but we enjoyed lounging in the sun on one of many wooden piers, surrounded by what seemed to look like bamboo grass.

Great place, beautiful view

Beautiful surroundings, clear water which has perfect temperature. There are several wooden landing stages. Soms of them can be dangerous because of loose planks. Swimming is perfect, ideal for a visit on your way home from Massa Marittima

Difficult to access from agriturismo

This small lake is located on or near the grounds of Agriturismo Potggio Corbello, where we stayed. It is supposedly very deep, and there is an ancient archaeological site near its shore. With the agriturismo on a hill, and the lago in the adjoining valley, it makes a pretty scene. Unfortunately, we could not actually visit the lake shore, although I believe other tourists have. The path down from the agriturismo to the lago was not marked, and apparently followed a quite muddy farm path down through a closed gate and through the cattle pasture. I also understood that the lago is surrounded by reeds that make it hard to actually reach the water's edge. I'm sure it is a nice place to walk down to visit if the ground was less muddy and you took the time to ask for directions from your hosts. It is just my own fault that I did not have much time in the evening and tried to figure out the route alone.

Calm place and lake with clear water

Perfect clear water for swimming. There are o lot of small pier for entrance to lake. You can find one and stay separated in calm.

Chilled place Crystal Clear Water
Outstanding lake with best water quality you almost want to drink. Little pier will give you good access and the perfect Cool Downer. Outstanding panorama and very quite. I just heart that every once in a while on the car park people break into cars! So take your valuables! Everything in the trunk and minimise the opportunities.
