My wife and I went to the cooking class on our honeymoon and it was one of the highlights of the whole trip! Paola and Simonetta are warm, welcoming, and knowledgeable and they have a great sense of humor. We enjoyed learning to make pasta, pomodoro sauce, and panna cotta and loved the copious wine and snacks that accompanied it. They have two locations, one in Florence and one at a 12th century farmhouse in Chianti and we chose the latter. It is SO worth it if you have the time/budget to get a driver or rent a car and go out there. It's beautiful, oozing with charm, and you drive through tons of little Tuscan villages with restaurants and shops, plus Toscana Mia's property is historic and stunning. We loved the family style dinner at the end of the class, the laughs Paola and Simonetta provided with their great sense of humor, and appreciate their willingness to share their recipes and keep up with us after the class ended. If you are looking for a cooking class in Tuscany, look no further than Toscana Mia-you won't regret it!…

Our family had a wonderful time cooking with Paola and Simonetta at their beautiful family home in Tuscany. We really felt like part of the family. They got everyone involved in the process and made it fun and entertaining. The food was delicious and easy to prepare. It brought back memories of Sunday dinners with my grandparents. Thank you for a fun evening in Tuscany! ~Lady B…

Wonderful experience in the hills of Chianti. Our family (2 adults and 2 young adult children) learned to make delicious gnocchi with a five tomato sauce, savory lemon marinated chicken and a light lemon olive oil cake. We made memories that will last a lifetime. Simonetta and Paola are lovely to talk with and have a wealth of knowledge on Italian cooking and history.…

This cooking class was one of the highlights of my visit to Italy. I would happily travel back to Chianti just to take the class again. My husband and I love cooking and we wanted to learn how to refine our pasta making skills, while also having an authentic experience in Tuscany. The class delivered was just that. Toscana Mia is a charming cooking school run by two sisters, Simonetta and Paola, tucked away in the beautiful, rolling hills of Chianti. Simonetta and Paola are incredible hosts and great teachers - their warmth, organization & preparedness starts from the moment you book your class and continues until your adventure is complete. From the moment we arrived at their gorgeous Tuscan home, we were greeted with warmth as if we were visiting old friends. We are vegetarian, and Simonetta & Paola accommodate us graciously. We made spinach & ricotta raviolis, a 5 tomato pasta sauce, stuffed bell peppers, olive oil cake, and had the traditional Chianti Classico. This was easily one of the best, most delicious meals I had on the entire trip. I am still dreaming about the olive oil cake. This was the first cooking class I have attended where I really feel like I actually learned how to prepare the dishes, and my husband and I already re-created the pasta a week later. The best part of this experience, however, was really eating dinner at Simonetta and Paola’s dining table with the rest of the students. We laughed, chatted, and talked about all things Italian. It was so much fun. I cannot recommend this class more. It will be the highlight of your trip!…
