We did the tour of Luigi Guffanti cheese cave. For 25 euros/pp they give you a 45-60 min tour of their caves, explaining how different cheeses are stored, preserved and flavored. It was very interesting. At the end of the tour they give you samples of 5 different cheeses and a glass of wine. Since we love cheese, we enjoyed learning about the aging process for the different types of cheeses.

We couldn't get into the caves, cause we arrived at 6p.m. and even the shop was closed, but they let us in and even prepared a selection of different cheese, quickly describing all of them. Definitely try the smoked ricotta!

Andrea was an excellent guide. The cheese factory was fascinating and very enjoyable. We learned a lot and finished the tour with a tasty selection plus wine and water. Very good value at 25€ each. Shop was very good too- lots to choose from. Highly recommended if you like cheese!

We (4 cheese heads from the Netherlands) found these cheese experts on tripadvisor. This was the most informative tasting experience we ever had. Walter gave us the tour, he was an excellent tour guide with a lot of passion for cheese. Must do!

We had a wonderful and educational experience here. They are true geese purveyors, and we learned a lot about everything to do with cheese.

In addition, we had a lovely tasting with wine afterwards, and the shop itself sold us some wonderful cheese to take with us.

Amazing experience. We had a good bit of time and they were more than happy to show us all they've got. A fantastic journey through the cheese caves with history and technique behind each. Then a tasting menu. We purchased quite a bit and now we're set for several wonderful lunches. The prices were incredibly reasonable for the quality. I will return on any visit I make to the area.

We originally booked a cheesetour for five but as plans did not work out we ended up being only three. This was not a problem and we did not hear a word about this.
Great tour of their cheese cave and loads of information along the way.

We ended with a nice variety of cheese for tasting and there was more cheese then we managed to eat even for a cheese lover like myself!

Fantastic and I would highly recommend this place.

We have walked all the way there from the lake side, hopping to see something from the cheese manufacturing or at least to taste something.
Three people that made a long way from Israel to Italy and now to Arona.
At first, it was hard even to get someone’s attention.
Then, we where told that there is not room left on the tours.
Then we asked about the possibility to BUY a tray of cheese samples.
The reaction we got was: impossible, cannot do it and in general we felt that they want to get rid of us.
We have actually felt offended.
Since I didn’t have chance to taste it, I don’t know about the cheese but the service and attitude were the worst we have encountered in Italy until now.

If you are in Arona, you must visit this place. We thought one hour was enough to get know the history of this place and cheese testing, but unfortunately we were told it is too late and we should be 2 hours earlier. Even though we didn't manage to get a tour, we asked in the store to advise us which cheese we should try. This cheeses has an amazing taste. You really have to come here to try cheese whis is made by the peopole who love what they doing
