Well, it's not that it isn't beautiful. However, we are probably too spoiled by Jezero Jasna in Kranjska Gora (23 minutes from there in Slovenia). If you like walking and hiking, it might be OK. You walk from the large car park to the large lake for about 10 minutes through the forest. The signs are a bit unclear and you have to ask, of course. Access costs €5 per car and €3 per cyclist, and it's free on foot, which would be possible in principle with a further 20 minutes' walk. You walk past the mangart to get to the large lake. Then you come to the lake. And you stare at the spot with the dirty edge. So we went straight back with our 3-year-old child. You can probably have a coffee at the smaller lake. Unfortunately, it wasn't for us. We're staying in Slovenia and can swim there in beautiful scenery :)

Our impression confirms the previous reviews: lovely place but managed deliberately with carelessness. Sunday morning: two workers work with a noisy cutter along the path around the lower lake making an impressive noise and dust. There are no open services, everything is closed, just a chemical toilet for all the tourists (there were about thirty cars in the parking lot). At the Lago Superiore bar, a slice of industrial cake for 5 euros. Barriers from construction works scattered along the route.

During with the whole lake is frozen , you can hike around it following a trail .or go across it. But I won't recommend

We didn't hesitate to visit them even though it was raining. Armed with k-ways we did the entire route. Difficult, given the muddy surface, but therefore more evocative.
Parking is large but requires a fee (€5 for the whole day). There are bathrooms (clean)

Alpine lakes surrounded by the splendid panorama of the Dolomites. We organize 5 euros to go up to the car parks. There are 2 lakes: upper and lower, both of which offer the possibility of walking around them via paths. In the lower lake it is possible to take a boat ride. Photos speak better than words..

Beautiful and calm place to explore walking… you can take your picnic with you to this place since around the lakes there are some benches to seat and enjoy the scenery. You l can drive or you can take a bus but not sure how often is the bus. Sofa are allow…The parking cost €5 for all day.
There are 2 lakes you can walk from one to the other lake. There are some restaurants around the lake to eat and rest. They have portable toilets if you are in need.
L there is a mini market around the car park some people sell honey, salami, cheese etc

.....it is so clear and clean.
Water and poignant colors are almost as beautiful as they are.
They are two alpine lakes, brothers but very different.
The so-called lower lake is splendid and well cared for, where you can find the pass to walk easily and in peace; the other, the upper one, is a little more wild, where absolute silence and indescribable water colors dominate.
Uncontaminated vegetation then adds value to value... everything leads you to enjoy everything, it's fantastic!!
A visit is highly recommended.

Beautiful lake with wonderful colors. Schöner Rundweg. For older people and children, the left side of the lake is advisable because it is flat and easy to walk on.
Unfortunately, only the lower lake gone, so make sure to plan all day for both lakes.

Very beautiful lakes, especially the lower one. However, even the wilder Upper Lake has its charm. The two lakes are not far from each other and the path is easy. However, they can both be reached by car. Bathing is not allowed. The soil on the edge of the lakes is easy but care is needed for the roots of the trees emerging from the ground. Too many people and too many dogs

Breathtaking lakes near border with Slovenia. I recommend donĹĄ stop on the first lake and go to the second too. On the second lake you can go swimming, so enjoy the sun and lake with amazing view to the Mangart.

Hi, what about Laghi di Fusine in February? Is it good to drive coz of the snow? There will be snow?
Thanks
Written January 19, 2020
For sure man, it’s one of the coldest places in Europe!!!The ice on the lake is more than 40cm thick! The roads are usually cleaned after snowfalls but you should phone up the Tarvisio tourist info point where you can get the weather and streets info!!
