Wonderful Wedding Venue
Sep 2019
Attended a wedding ceremony at Villa Fondi in September 2019. The venue is absolutely wonderful, with spectacular views of the bay. There is a calm, relaxed atmosphere throughout the venue. The grounds are just beautiful. It is a very romantic venue - what more could you ask for if celebrating a wedding.
The only minor negative was being unable to hear the officiator clearly some of the time, but this did not spoil an otherwise wonderful occasion.
Highly recommended.

Gorgeous views, beach, marina, and stores in Sorrento
Oct 2019 • Couples
We spent the later part of our evening visiting shops, viewing the sea, and exploring in this gorgeous location. A very romantic place to spend some quality time immersing in the Sorrento culture. Recommend spending a couple hours here!

Our Marriage

What a place to get married!!! The views are amazing, the grounds are lovely and the outside ceremony area is so quiet and private. We had 36 guests who loved the venue, the chairs, the white carpet, the backdrop views over the sea, and the ceremony was wonderful. Would definitely recommend this beautiful place to visit.

A fantastic gem of a place to discover!

We were recommended to visit this place by a waiter at our hotel who assured us we would not be disappointed and we weren't - it has lots to offer.
We entered through the very beautiful lush gardens surrounding the villa which displayed some very early AD mosaics. The views from the gardens were lovely also.
On entering the villa we discovered more relics from Ancient Rome but the best attraction was the way a selection of incomplete mosaics were displayed. These were in a separate room where we were shepherded in a line to observe the 'show'. The mosaics were beautiful just in normal light but as the lights dimmed and the mosaics were lit one by one, it was stunning to see them come alive - very cleverly 'filled in' and completed during the display - it was beautiful.
After this we discovered there was a classical music concert on that morning so very much enjoyed listening to Beethoven sonatas for violin and piano and some Respigi and Rachmaninov and the standard was very good. Afterwards we were served aperitifs and nibbles - all free - amazing! We had a lovely time there - a very special place.

An amazing place that gives you the best views of the bay of Naples. Just walk around and admire what the coast has to offer. Dont forget to watch the light and sound show in the villa. It's free of cost and worth it.

Simply beautiful

What a gem this museum is. The views from the beautiful garden are breathtaking. Much to our pleasant surprise it was all free. The staff are very helpful and friendly. It is packed full of interesting, well presented treasures. The sound and light presentation with the mosaics in the right hand room is truly amazing as are the films which show how the various roman buildings etc would have looked like in their heyday. We were inspired by this wonderful museum to walk to and enjoy the site of the Villa di Pollio Felice at Punta del Capo a couple of miles or so to the west of Sorrento.

Peaceful park and stunning views

Our maitre'd told us about this location and gave us a map to follow - the road is narrow and there's some good blind bends so take if on foot from Sant Agnello. Definitely worth a look though as the view from the gardens is lovely onto the marina below. There's a small museum which is free - go into the dark room on the right for a short light show on the mosaics which are also in the gardens. We then walked a little further up the road and got sandwiches from the bakery which we took back to the gardens

Beautiful grounds and an under publicised gem, and maybe that’s right

Few places I find encourage you keep them secret for fear that they will be spoilt. Villa Fondi is one of them. With almost something for everybody, this complex is a must if you travel beyond the normal tourist area to that of Piano di Sorrento. With its awe filled views, pleasurable grounds suitable for picnics although the restaurant in the grounds offers a bit more comfort. A museum “Georges Vallet“ within the Villa itself and regular music events this site offer opportunity to enjoy all that the area has to offer in single location. History, culture, good food and all at a pace or duration of your choosing.

Whether a whole morning/afternoon or just an hour out from your travels you can’t fail to be left with good memories. Enjoy your visit it may leave you feeling the same way.

Amazing wedding location
Sep 2018 • Family
My brother and sister in law married here overlooking the coast What an awesome venue.
Views superb - they had paid for lovely seating and floral displays which made it even more amazing. The ceremony was wonderful and the pictures superb.. what a location! 😍 they had a great confetti shot outside the gates of the villa .. little shade from the sun so be careful of the heat.
