A clean quiet spot to lay in the shade, in the sun or to cool off in crystal waters. Enjoy the view and the relative calm in the cove east of the center of Malia. There is no place playing loud music, so bring your own earbuds. The bay is excellent for swimming. Snorkeling will reveal the fish dancing around your legs although the water is clear enough to watch the dance.

Very quiet beach with stunning scenery just outside the busy resort of malia. Toilets a small snack bar, and reasonably prices sunbeds, along with an on duty lifeguard. Water is shallow and beach sheltered, good for kids

We had found the beach on google maps and then subsequently been recommended it by the hotel we were staying in. Its a ten minute drive from Malia but completely worth it. Its in a natural cove which means the sea is nice and warm for a swim. Sunbeds are 7euros for two which includes an umbrella or 5 euros for one sunbed and umbrella. The beach is so much less crowded than the ones in Malia and so much more peaceful. The beach has everything you could need. There are portoloos which were clean & a delicious food truck that sold cold drinks and snacks of all varieties at a really reasonable price. We had a hotdog, chicken gyros and drinks all for under ten euros. We will definitely be visiting again! If your in malia take the very short journey to this beach.

A nice relaxing beach with no nearby music playing, clean seas. There is a food cabin that sells anything from Gyros to ice lollies and canned beers. Also there is a local Greek taverna that offers anything from breakfasts to Greek meals. I like to walk along the beach from Malia, along the port through to Potamus beach. I think its about 3.5 miles /45 mins from Old Malia Town where I stay.
