We benefited by going in a group of 40 club members which I feel made the whole day a better experience. The food was basic but surprisingly good. Plus although we live locally the commentary given by the 'guide' was most informative and so many things were pointed out that we never knew. Very good value for money compared to other train rides. But being in a group certainly enhanced the whole journey.

Good trip, guard had to get out at every road we crossed to stop the traffic. Went to the market at Portbail which was very good. The cost of the train was 10 euros each. You could buy refreshments and souvenirs.

A 1930,s train run by volunteers. From Carteret to Portbail. Or vice versa twice a week. A great way to visit a market in the summer without struggling to park. Can order a simple snack on the return journey for lunch and it has it's very own fat controller. Need to book in July andAugusth
