About
Of the many great houses and wine estates in the Pézenas area, few can match the charms of the Seigneurie de Peyrat. Today, (a family-run business) the estate covers 200 hectares, with 120 hectares of vines, olive trees and guarrigues. Famous grape varieties such as syrah, grenache, carignan, merlot, cabernet, cinsault and pinot noir are used for the red wines, followed by sauvignon, viognier, colombard, vermentino and chardonnay for the white ones. All grapes have been selected and are blooming on this fabulous terroir (clay and limestone / villafranchien soils). Respecting environment and searching for high quality; this is our daily guideline. You will be welcome here to visit our castle, its chapel and also our cellar. (on appointment)If you want to buy or taste our wines, the cellar is open from Monday to Friday from 10:00 until 18:00.

What a beautiful wine estate! Nice Experience driving thru the vineyards resulting in tasting great wines !
The lady (owner) is very charming, loves to tell all details of the wine and fill the glasses.
Thank you very much!

We were happy to buy 1 box of delicious rose and 1 box with red grande reserve.

A picnic lunch here must be fantastic! It is a pity that this started from June 1.

We highly recommend to visit Seigneurie de Peyrat and will certainly come back when we are in this part of France again.

Another holiday in the Languedoc and another visit to Seigneurie de Peyrat to enjoy their wonderful 'PIQUE-NIQUE CHIC‘. It has been a few years since our last visit and so lovely to see Cecile once again who, along with Lucy, looked after us very well.

The picnic is really lovely and as always there were some nice wines (there were only 4 available to try, as well as a sparkling from another vineyard, on this visit) but sadly no Rose which we think is one of their best (their have had problems securing bottles).

Spending the afternoon in such a lovely courtyard enjoying the sunshine, lovely wine and some fabulous meats & cheeses (the goats cheese and chutneys were excellent) is a real joy.

Sadly you couldn't purchase all the wines (their Viognier were only for tasting purposes - they had run out of bottles to sell) but we did take a couple of bottles of the 2012 Les Lucquiers.

The cost of the picnic is 22 euros per person which was great value - hope to be back next year.

We stopped in to do a wine tasting and were very impressed. All of the wine in this region is very good in our experience and Seigneurie de Peyrat still stands out. The lady working in the tasting room was knowledgable, very friendly and spoke perfect english. If we have the opportunity to return we'll certainly make an appointment to visit more of the grounds and facilities. Even if you just stop in for a tasting though, it's certainly worth the visit. If you're looking for excellent wine, then definitely have it on your list.

The pique-nique chic is a wonderful relaxed way to do wine tasting. The grounds are beautiful and the shady courtyard the perfect setting. We sampled some amazing cheese and preserves, loved the olives from the grounds and found them to be the perfect accompaniment to the wine. Lots of other things to try too!
We received a very warm welcome and enjoyed the tour. Cecile is a great host and gave just the right level of information to build on our limited knowledge to make the whole experience engaging and fun.
We will definitely return! Thank you.

I was here with my boyfriend and my sister on our vacation to Herault.
We went to Seigneurie de Peyrat only to take the wine tour at 11 o'clock. After the very nice and informative tour we decided to sta for the picnic (we did not feel forced to do so).
The picnic was lovely and well worth the money. We ate nice food and tasted all the wines. On top of that the owner took her time to talk to us and tell us stories of the wineyard and area.
We had a lovely day and I heartly reccomend it!

We've visited a few wine farms, but this was really special... The tour by Cecile was interesting, insightful and charming - and we really relaxed into the picnic with tastings in the courtyard (with a couple of fun secret twists!). Our baby in a pram was welcomed too. Bought some wine to take home, and looking forward to tasting next year what the 2022 harvest has to deliver. We'll definitely be back next time we're in the area!

Without a doubt worth the drive and the 9am wake up. We went as a group of 5 and loved every minute of it, the grounds are huge, just huge, very classic southern French style with so much history. The wine and snacks matched the cute little courtyard we were sampling them in. We really want to thank our guide and the English lady who is here for summer abroad working, unfortunately we forgot to get your names but we loved the estate and your hospitality!

We spent a wonderful afternoon trying 8 different wines: whites, rosé, reds and one sparkling. These are accompanied with some delicious local produce of cheeses, olives and chutneys. Great value at only €19. Cecile and Lucy were extremely knowledgeable, friendly and made it so enjoyable and relaxing. This chateau is perfect for social distancing with secluded tables in a spacious, shady courtyard. We had a wander around and found a beautiful, old chapel and stunning views. Do not miss out - you won’t be disappointed!

We have been coming here for many years to enjoy le picque nique in the summer. The courtyard is sublime, the service is delightful and the lunch and accompanying wines a delight. A great way to spend a few hours.

This place is special. A beautiful wine estate, the wine is delicious, the tour is interesting. We held our wedding here in 2017 and returned this year for a 5 year anniversary party. Cecile is great to work with and we truly love this estate. We recommend enjoying the tour and picnic, it's a enjoyable afternoon.
