About
Of the many great houses and wine estates in the Pézenas area, few can match the charms of the Seigneurie de Peyrat. Today, (a family-run business) the estate covers 200 hectares, with 120 hectares of vines, olive trees and guarrigues. Famous grape varieties such as syrah, grenache, carignan, merlot, cabernet, cinsault and pinot noir are used for the red wines, followed by sauvignon, viognier, colombard, vermentino and chardonnay for the white ones. All grapes have been selected and are blooming on this fabulous terroir (clay and limestone / villafranchien soils). Respecting environment and searching for high quality; this is our daily guideline. You will be welcome here to visit our castle, its chapel and also our cellar. (on appointment)If you want to buy or taste our wines, the cellar is open from Monday to Friday from 10:00 until 18:00.

Lovely day with tour and picnic
Jul 2021
I was here with my boyfriend and my sister on our vacation to Herault.
We went to Seigneurie de Peyrat only to take the wine tour at 11 o'clock. After the very nice and informative tour we decided to sta for the picnic (we did not feel forced to do so).
The picnic was lovely and well worth the money. We ate nice food and tasted all the wines. On top of that the owner took her time to talk to us and tell us stories of the wineyard and area.
We had a lovely day and I heartly reccomend it!

Fabulous wines and friendly staff
Jul 2020 • Friends
We spent a wonderful afternoon trying 8 different wines: whites, rosé, reds and one sparkling. These are accompanied with some delicious local produce of cheeses, olives and chutneys. Great value at only €19. Cecile and Lucy were extremely knowledgeable, friendly and made it so enjoyable and relaxing. This chateau is perfect for social distancing with secluded tables in a spacious, shady courtyard. We had a wander around and found a beautiful, old chapel and stunning views. Do not miss out - you won’t be disappointed!

We have been coming here for many years to enjoy le picque nique in the summer. The courtyard is sublime, the service is delightful and the lunch and accompanying wines a delight. A great way to spend a few hours.

If you consider a wine-tasting, just go there! We enjoyed the beautiful "entourage", the tour, the picknick and of course the surprising wines (of which we took some boxes home). Very friendly hosts, relaxed atmosphere, friendly priced. C'etait un cadeau!

Beautiful way to spend an afternoon
Sep 2019
Thanks, Cécile and Amy, for a gorgeous afternoon. The tour was just the right amount of time and information. The pique nique was incredible - great value. Too bad you don’t ship to 🇨🇦, but that will just leave us wanting more wine from your vineyard when we return.

Love the tour, love the Pique-nique, LOVE the wine!!
Aug 2019
After discovering this fabulous Domaine a few months ago, we have been about 6 times already as we love to bring our guests here to experience it too! The vineyard tour starts at 11am Mon - Fri during summer months, where you get to explore some of the beautiful house, the vineyards and the cellars with the owner of the vineyard Cécile. Her knowledge and passion for winemaking is clearly evident and her ability to translate so fluently between French and English is very impressive. After the tour we stayed for the picnic which is set in a stunning courtyard, sheltered by beautiful trees. The picnic costs €17 and includes several courses which are all locally sourced and paired with 7 different wines. Each wine comes with an explanation about its grape, how it's produced and what food it works well with. There is no time limit and no rush so you can stay and relax for as long as you want in the beautiful surroundings. After which you can go into the shop and stock up on all your favourite wines because they are all incredible! We regularly come back to stock up on the Tradition and Grand Reserve! We genuinely don't buy wine anywhere else anymore. Cécile and Amy make this a fantastic experience and I highly recommend this to do whilst on holiday or just as a day out if you live in the region :))

I look forward to returning again soon!!

There are Picnics, then there is Pique-nique Chic The Peyrat way
Sep 2019 • Family
Incredibly impressed from start to finish - We were offered a taster when we arrived, then joined the 11h tour and learnt so much from our knowledgeable guide (with perfect English), so interesting, all the questions you ever wanted to know about, and more answered. I feel like an expert now.

We had our Pique-nique with wine tasting at 12h, very generous amounts of bread, cheese and relishes, followed by the fun of making your own Tomato Ciabatta, then a charcuterie plate, all whilst having tastings of the wines. This was done with a superb explanation of each one, in a friendly and fun way to ensure we made the most of our visit. Then, there’s more a sweet dessert and a sparkling wine taster.

We just weren’t expecting so much, such professionalism and such fun, would highly recommend to all. We were a family group with teenagers and have laughed solidly for two hours over our lovely lunch.

Once you’ve finished you can visit the boutique and make your purchases of the excellent value wines.

This is not to be missed, a real must do in the Pezenas area.
