The shape of the church reminds me of Emmaus Monastery in Prague. The tower of the church is 60 m high, made of sandstone with 180 stairs. Unfortunately have not time to climb up, the entrance 30 CZK. The church built in 1517. The interior is dominated by three massive wooden carved altars. Must to see while in Louny.

Beautiful gothic church, apparently was designed by the same person that did St Vitus cathedral in Prague. In the tower there’s a tiny room that bell ringer lived with his goat. That’s what the tour guide said :)There’s a lovely walk around the town medieval walls that wraps around the town above the river. Also there’s a lovely park next to brilliant outdoor pool that crosses the river by the bridge and takes you by the river. There’s a hidden little pub called Roubenka. The setting is really pretty. Louny is a picturesque sleepy town that deserves more recognition.

One of the finest examples of Czech late -Gothic architecture, the St. nicholas Church represents a masterpiece and prominent landmark of the town. The monumetal carved altar is breathtaking. In the church there is a tower with a view of the town and its surroundings.

Nice, beautiful church. Especially the wood-carved altar is remarkable. Overall, the church gives a very dark atmosphere. The tower was closed for reconstruction, so I couldn't go up there. Apart from that, a church like any other in the Czech countryside.

My first time visit in Louny, and I was very pleasantly surprised by this great church. I lovely lady let us take pictures and gave us a guided tour around the interior, then took us outside into the entrance to the tower. The view from the tower from the top of the tower is amazing, overlooking Louny and reaching all the way to the surrounding mountains and hills silhouetted on the horizon. There is even a very small apartment inside the tower. Visit is highly recommended, and afterwords there is a lovely Irish pub nearby.

This lovely church was built to replace a burnt down church in 1517 and finished in 1538. The main features are the three wooden altars which were carved by Jeronym Kohl in 1701-1706. A lady told us the altars were supposed to be covered in gold but due to the lack of money this didn't happen, which I think was for the better. The wooden altars are absolutely amazing. You don't find many of these around.

Nice view from the top, well-maintained interior and a beautiful wooden altar. A must see when you visit the city, but you should visit the other old churches too

This is the most beautiful historical architecture in Louny. The church has the largest wooden altar in central Europe and it's beautifully carved. Go to the church tower to have a nice view of the city.

This is without a doubt the most prominent building in the city. There is a beautiful baroque altar inside. You can access the tower for some ridiculous fee (20 kč, 10 kč - reduced) and if the weather is good there are lovely views on the city and the Central Bohemian Uplands. The stairs are quite steep, if you have small children keep an eye on them.
