Highly recommend to learn. Lovely house and interesting to step back in time to see how life was. Entrance fee is cheap. Highly recommend.

Oslekova house is one of the most interesting houses in Koprivshtitsa. Inside you can see things that were in use several decades or a century ago. Everything is very well preserved and presented in a very nice mode.

entry to this beautiful house is on a separate ticket compared to the rest (6 sites combo ticket)
generally speaking, the entire Koprivshtitsa village and house museums, which is separated by a river, can be visited in under 3 hours. therefore, it is not necessary to overnight here.
I did it as a half day trip between Sofia and Plovdiv. recommend caution when driving some of the country roads due to potholes.

A beautiful facade containing scenes from Venice and other cities is marvellous to admire while approaching through the courtyard. Also here is an assemblage of bells that were used to keep track of various livestock; the larger the animal the bigger the bell.
Lovely rooms are to be seen, including the splendid Red Room that has a fine decorative wooden ceiling and paintings.
Winter quarters at ground level have lower ceilings and smaller windows to keep in the heat, while those at higher level, for summer use, are more expansive.
The room where Oslekov would welcome his guests is spacious and comfortable. Another room shows a weaving loom and spinning wheel.

This is a very old house, with typical architecture of many houses in Koprivshtitsa from 1850th year and belonged to a wealthy merchant Nencho Oslekov. Worth visiting it

The house is very beautiful with unique architecture and well-preserved interior. Our host was one of the Oslekov's heirs and gave us a very educational tour. We felt like we travelled back in time - very interesting!

This was the home of Nencho Oslekov who was a wealthy merchant who had the home built around 1853 by master-builders from the Smolyan School. During the uprising of the Bulgarians against the Turks in 1876, Oslekov manufactured wool clothing for the soldiers and aided them in many other ways as well. He was hung after the defeat of the uprising against the Turks for his role in aiding them. It has beautiful detail, especially the wooden ceilings.
