Take the full treathment takes little bit more time but it is worth it. The massage lady was very good quality and skilled. She find the places on your body, mussles of extra need. Don’t make your choice on the accomodation but on quality where you come for.

My boyfriend and I had a couples massage from Nadee and Wasanthi. They were amazing - sweet and kind yet strong. Very polite, we had such a relaxing time and it was very affordable. I highly recommend!! This is the perfect way to relax after a day exploring Ella!

I went to this place and had a full body massage for 1 hour. The staff was very friendly and the massage was relaxing. The massage had also the right pressure. I enjoyed it a lot and I can recommend this place if you come to Ella.

We had 2 massages here, a foot massage which we all really enjoyed (even though it was mainly legs versus feet), but the second massage, a full body wasn’t great for all of us. Very basic rub down. The biggest complaint was the screaming child next to the beds including having to listen to BINGO music playing. Wasn’t very relaxing. We aren’t going back a third time. If you go would recommend starting with a 30 minute and adding to it if it’s good.

The massage was quite good and nice tea afterwards. Others have mentioned the lack of head hole area which they are going to address in the future. But what alarmed me was the nylon (?) covering on the bed felt greasy so I assumed they would put a towel down before they started but didn’t. I had to ask for a towel to cover the pillow as I didn’t like the idea of my face on that. Maybe it was a one off slip up as others said the place was clean. So I don’t really know if that is usual not to put new towels over the coverings.

This lovely couple are managing a sweet little Ayurvedic massage place, mixing their own traditional spices, oils and medicine. The atmosphere is very relaxing and inviting. After hiking all day I came to see them with a sore tight neck and in half an hour of strong focused shoulder-neck-back massage I was feeling extremely better. The lady of the house is great, very professional and talented. They even gave me some balm for free to apply on my neck later, as well as a nice cup of tea after the treatment.

I would like to draw your attention on the disappointment of this place where I have been stolen my watch.

When I arrived for my massage, a nice, young lady was the only one there.
While doing the massage she removed my watch and as deliberately hidden it.
Then, she was talking a lot for me to forgot my watch when I have left.
This watch was a present from my Dad.
Unfortunately, I realised only the next morning and called them.
The manager of the place said that "I took my watch and my phone at the same moment" without me saying anything!
After thay they never replied again to the phone...

Plus the ayuverda massage is not a real one.
If you pick this place for a massage, don't relax and keep an eye on your things instead!!

I’ve never actually written a poor review of somewhere before but after this morning I honestly feel I have to. Myself and my boyfriend were excited to go and get a massage in Ella and we saw this place had good reviews. We’re both Australian but my boyfriends parents are from Sri Lanka and he speaks some Sinhalese. My boyfriend rang up to ask if we needed to make a booking and spoke in Sinhalese to try and be polite but was told that this place is for “tourists only”. My boyfriend said that both him and me were foreign and did not expect local prices and we were happy to pay normal rates and he was again told “no” and that we were not allowed to come. The person he spoke to on the phone hung up without even saying goodbye. I’m sure that the service here is nice but I just can’t believe the rudeness of that phone call. I really think staff here should think about how they speak to customers. We’re both very disappointed.

We chose to have the full package of full body massage, steam bath, shirodhara and sauna. I would say the massage is possibly one of the best I have ever had. Very firm and worked our aching muscles after climbing Adams peak the day before. The place is typically Sri Lankan and nothing fancy, but the treatment was so good and totally worth the money! From research it is also half the price of Lanka grand over the road. Would totally recommend!

There is not much concept of privacy here. Staff and guests walk through rooms where other customers are being massaged barely covered by a modesty towel. No gender separation.

My session began with a head and shoulder massage. I was shown to a stool in a room (let's call it Room #1) where a Belgian guy was virtually naked on a massage table 1 metre away. We both tried hard to pretend the other did not exist.

Later, for the body massage, I was directed to another room (Room #2) with two massage tables, separated by a curtain. I had the outer table. The woman client on the inner table finished before me. But to get out, she had to come across to my side of the curtain to reach the room door (by which time, I was near-naked). Staff walked in and out of my area several times. So what purpose did the curtain serve?

In any case, woman client, exiting Room #2 led to Room #1 where the near-naked Belgian guy was.

Then I could hear a bunch of girls come in to make an enquiry, and Room #1 (with the poor exposed Belgian still being worked on) became the consultation room!

For whatever reason, the girls left without making a booking. Smart of them, I say.

I am not sure that linen is changed between customers either.

Given these distractions and amusements, it was hard to relax and enjoy the massage. Done by a middle-aged male therapist, it was actually quite good. He had technique and his deep-tissue work had sufficient pressure to feel good. However, at times, he too got distracted by all the coming and going, and the strokes temporarily became plain rubbing.

Unfortunately he used a lot of oil; I don't think they realise that foreigners dislike oil being slopped onto their bodies.

And then the worst part! While there was a bathroom (where initially I was directed to change out of my street clothes), when I asked to use it again to shower, they said there was no water. No way to shower and get rid of the oil!

Why didn't they say so earlier?

They gave me an extra towel to soak up and rub off as much oil as possible, but that was not a satisfactory solution.
