Cool and extendable hike, but the view is not as good as Little Adams Peak

The hike is really cool, starting on the railway track which is en experience. Then when you are up there you can extend the trail to go to the next train station (Heeloya). Just... read more

Beatiful view. Your guesthouse can help you describe the way. There is absolutely no reason to book a guide. On the top you can buy water and tea.

Well worth the fairly steep climb - the view from the top is spectacular! Use a local guide - there are lots of forks along the pathway with no indication which way to go. Or you could just keep aiming for 'up'.

Route elsewhere on tripadvisor helped us well...no guid needed or asking locals. I found it a nice 3.5 gr hike but last part wad quite heavy. Bring good shoes.

as a family we climbed the Ella rock. we walked from the Ella trainstation via the railway and crossing the bridge into the tea plantations. This was the easy part! When above the plantations the real climb start through the forest. You need to make sure that it is not raining, otherwise it will be to slippery and steep! When... More

A short sharp ascent that is definitely worth the effort. The view is breathtaking. Be wary of the 'local guides' (wannabe's) who will try to get you lost in order to save you for a fee. There are 2/3 pathways from the train line which all converge into the main track to the top. (If you take the track just... More

Great hike which will take you over the traintracks, passed Rawana Falls and trough tea plantations all the way uphill. It's very easy to get lost in the tea plantations, so it is worth it to let a guide help you! The end is quite steep but the view at the peak makes up for it!

This hike starts off easy along the train tracks with no shade, the starts a gradual climb through tea fields and then forest, the last half an hour is a steep climb. Take plenty of water and good grip shoes, though we did see the locals doing it in flip flops. Absolutely worth it for the view.

We did the walk today and it was just amazing! We used the map which u can find on tripadvisor. Even though it was not too easy to find the right way. But as there were a lot of tourists we were able to ask the ones coming back about the right way! Its very exhausting but aboslutely worth it!... More
