Very peasant hike early in the morning
I liked the hike very much, the earlier you start the better - even if it still dark. Air is fresh, teperature very pleasant and you can walk while listening to the birds singing before sunrise. The hike takes about an hour.

Scaling New Heights: Discovering the Breathtaking Views of Little Peaks Adam in Kandy
If you're looking for a fun and easy climbing adventure in Kandy, then Little Peaks Adam is definitely worth checking out. The climb takes about 30 minutes and is relatively easy, but you'll want to wear good sneakers to ensure a steady grip on the rocks. There are three tops to the climb, with the last one being a bit more challenging to reach, but the incredible views of the valley and mountains in front of you make it all worth it. One of the best things about Little Peaks Adam is its location. The main entrance to the climb is only a 15-minute walk from Kandy village, making it easy to access and a great way to spend an afternoon. And once you reach the top, you'll be rewarded with panoramic views that will take your breath away. Overall, I highly recommend Little Peaks Adam for anyone looking for a fun and rewarding outdoor adventure in Kandy. The climb is easy enough for most people to enjoy, but still challenging enough to make you feel accomplished when you reach the top. And the views are simply stunning, making it an unforgettable experience.

Trail that helped burn my calories
Eager to see what the "Little Adams peak" is like, I had to attempt the climb twice as in the first attempt somewhere halfway a sudden heavy downpour disrupted the journey. I had to hurriedly retreat to Flying Ravana ticketing centre for refuge. The thunderstorm lasted for about an hour and I gave up the idea of climbing and came to the pool club to spend the rest of the time. However, after the rain ceased the haze or the mist passed off and as there was some time to dusk, I decided to get back on the trail once again. This time I was well passed at least three quarters of the journey when the hell broke loose again drenching me severely. There was no shelter or a canopy for shade and the only option was to proceed until I reached the summit. Luckily for me there was no thunder or lightning. It was hazy at the beginning but with the ceasing of the rain it began to clear off, giving me good visibility of the surrounding mountain ranges and the distance water falls including the upper segment of "Ravana falls". My journey was well worth as the panoramic views were extremely beautiful. I had the best view of Ella gap and beyond. Up there I could not find any clue to why it is called little Adams peak, but there must be some legend behind it.

    Easy walk - amazing views
Easy climb to the top mostly steps, we did it at 6am & it was nice & cool. Only took 30 minutes with little stops. Amazing views at the top - the sun had just come up & there was a pretty golden glow. Part of the walk is through a tea plantation. We parked our scooter at the start of the walk (next to Ravana Pool Club) paid 50 rupees. Would defiantly recommend.

Tourist climb at Ella, sunny with stairs
It's encircled by taller hills so you don't get a long distance view, but it's a ticklist essential. It now has a cafe selling ice cream, and a zip wire descent from just above the shop back down to the new pool. At the start there is also Ellas Swing, an Instagram photo op for girls to wear a billowing red dress in a giant swing that perhaps surprisingly doesn't overhang a drop. To save your legs for the climb up the steps you can cheat and dive in a tuk tuk to get up to the entrance. Outside you may find water and king coconut to drink. On the climb you'll find the odd beggar but mostly stalls selling refreshments. It's very much a youngsters' scene now. Go out of season to avoid being pressured on the steps. Bring sunglasses and wide brimmed hat as no shade anywhere.

Easy hike with great views - plus a fabulous lunch opportunity
A fairly easy hike with some great views. Well worth taking the time to stop at the 98 Acres Resort & Spa for lunch or a drink. Whilst it is a very posh resort, it has a bar and a restaurant a couple of hundred yards apart, both of which serve great food and drinks relatively cheaply.

    Nice trekking experience
A 10-minute walk would lead you from the main road to the path leading to the peak. Wear sports shoes and hat, and bring a bottle of water. Some parts of the path can be tricky but can be managed. There is no shade at the top. View from the top is beautiful on a clear day.

    Decent hike for amazing views
Stunning views! Definitely worth the hike - the 3rd peak is harder to get to but do it if you can for the incredible views. There are plenty of people selling water up there for fairly cheap so don’t worry. Try to go before 10am at the latest.

    Easy Hike with Awesome Views
Great walk from Ella, give yourself about an hour each way depending on fitness but the hike isn't too arduous and the track is mainly easy to walk with mostly conctrete steps and path. The final few 100 meters is a little more "Off Road" but with a steady pace most people should be able to manage the distance which should be well worth the effort with promised views across central highlands. Unfortunately when we did the walk the clouds were over the hills and visibility was around 30 feet (10 meters) but we thoroughly enjoyed the hike none the less.

Trek up the Little Adam’s Peak, Ella

One of the prettiest spots and most popular treks in Ella is up the Little Adam’s Peak. However, we came across an unexpected hazard. When we reached the point where the zipline takes off, we saw a sign posted which said, “drone cameras can trigger a bee attack.” There were no drone cameras evident, but very soon there was a bee attack. While we escaped, my driver waiting below said that about 20 people had to be taken to the hospital. I believe the authorities need to take care of this. If there are bees in the vicinity of this very popular spot and inclined to attack visitors, something must be done as a whole vacation can get ruined if one gets caught in a bee attack. Till this is sorted out, the literature should also give some guidelines for persons on how to avoid the bee attack and how to respond in case of one. One important thing I learnt by going through Google/Bing is that you never swat or try to fend off the bees but run as fast as you can and look for shelter. In spite of the beautiful trek, the rating reflects the hazard which the tourists were subjected to.

Trailing through the picturesque premises of 98 Acres Resort is the Little Adams Peak. From the top one could get a 360 degrees view of the whole terrific mountain terrain surrounding the Ella valley. Entry to the premises is free of charge. There is a plenty of recreational activities such as Flying Fox, Air rifling, archery and ACT and so on. All are being operated at high standards yet very reasonable rates by the resort itself. Non-alcoholic drinks are also available at the kiosk located halfway the beautiful hike.

It was about 2 hours hike up and down. We had to park on the road at the entrance to 98 acres hotel and walk from there. We went early in the morning around 6.30 am. Ideal time as weather is cooler and nice for photography.

The walk up to Little Adam’s Peak is doable by most people although those with mobility issues might give this one a pass. Easy flat first bit through tea plantation fields up to the zip line company office (where there are very clean toilets). Then the track gets more difficult and some scrambling is required. Over 300 steps/stairs and then the scrambling up to the top. However, the view is well worth the hike and the exercise is great for the legs and lungs. Once at the top you can go further but it is more difficult with a path that requires good strength and endurance. Total time to go up would be about an hour depending on your level of fitness. A must do!

It begins in quite an easy incline and there are lots of families with young kids enjoying the walk. Once you reach the top though there are three other peaks which you can walk to and the second of them is quite the challenge.

Some amazing opportunities for photos and for meeting people from other countries. My wife and I offered to take a photo for a couple of different people and now we are Instagram friends 😄

If you are not a big fan of hours spending on hike, try Little Adam’s Peak which takes approximately an hour or so up and down.

Adam’s Peak takes 6-7 hours to climb and our guide told us it can get crowded too especially during full moon as locals go up to pray.

On top of Little Adam’s Peak gives one a great view of Ella and a close look of Ella Rock, another place for hike adventurist as heard there’s no proper trail on Ella Rock.

Little Adam’s Peak’s trails are mainly steps and up to 3/4 of the way, one can also try the zip line.

Great view and recommended for non hikers.

Arrived by car at 5:20 and walked using mobile phone light. First part was very easy and steady, the last few minutes were steeper but, by then, it was light enough not to be a problem. There were a lovely range of hues as the minutes passed. Plenty of time to move around (there are a few spots to choose from at the top), take heaps of photos and enjoy sunrise.

Amazing view of the sun rising over the ridge. We went up at 5.30am and was at the top just after 6.10am watch the sun rise at 6.30am. Not too bad a walk and mostly on steps however wear enclosed trainers. Free to do and some great views from the top. Get up early to enjoy this place.

This is one of the must-do activities when visiting Ella. We were lucky that we booked and stayed at “Chillout Ella” Hotel where is located right at the entry point of the hiking. Hiking is relatively easy for anyone at all ages with good fitness level since most of the paths are not so steep and built with staircase. Generally, it took us about 45 mins or less to climb up to the top where it provides stunning panoramic views of the mountain ranges. There is no fee required to enter this hiking trail and zip line activities is available along the way for those who seek more adventurous fun! This activities can be combined with visiting to Nine Arch Bridge as there is a connecting path going to Nine Arch Bridge. A good 3 hours to be spent here or longer especially for nature trekking lovers!

A nice hike with lovely views at every turn.

Don’t believe the signs, it is considerably longer than the 500 m noted at the entry point. (In fact, a second sign more than 1/2 km in read 650 m further...)

Regardless, it is more than worth it!

There are local vendors along the path selling water, cold drinks, King coconut and other offerings.

The Mega Zipline is accessible just before the summit climb. There are cools pots to sit and rest, if you wish.
