    Easy Hike with Awesome Views
Great walk from Ella, give yourself about an hour each way depending on fitness but the hike isn't too arduous and the track is mainly easy to walk with mostly conctrete steps and path. The final few 100 meters is a little more "Off Road" but with a steady pace most people should be able to manage the distance which should be well worth the effort with promised views across central highlands. Unfortunately when we did the walk the clouds were over the hills and visibility was around 30 feet (10 meters) but we thoroughly enjoyed the hike none the less.

    Lovely views at the top
I enjoyed this short hike to little Adam's Peak viewpoint. There is a short walk along a busy tuk tuk street with stalls. I walked up the steps along with many others. The weather was nice. There is a zip line, a large cafe and a rockclimbing wall for the adventure seeking thrills. The views at the top are beautiful. There is a small ridge walk to another end which many people were doing. I enjoyed this hike.

Nice walk up Little Adam’s Peak - easy climb and good views from the top
Enjoyed our little walk up to Little Adam’s Peak. Was an easy climb with mainly stairs taking you to the main viewing point. At the top there were nice views and watching the mist drift away was beautiful. We climbed up in the morning, getting to the top around 9am, which was good to avoid the heat, but was also quite busy with a fair few other people having the same idea as us! Took us around 30-45 minutes to reach the top from Ella town and was an easy hike. We then went straight onto 9 arch bridge which worked well!

    Easy hike with astonishing scenery
This hike takes approx 45 mins from Ella centre (to the second point at the top). We went there for sunrise (start around 5.15) and there was quite a lot of people as everybody reads the reviews to go early to avoid crowds. Sunrise was nice but bit cloudy so we decided to go there again around noon when it was more sunny (mountains are nicely visible) and also met people going up and down but not that much sitting on the top as in the morning. The negative was that there is a lot of locals along the way trying to sell you something, you can avoid that by going early for sunrise. The view is totally great though!

Must do trekking when you are in Ella
From Ella-Passara main road (Near flower garden hotel) up to 'Pool Club' there is a narrow concrete road and tuk tuks available for this stretch. Tuk tuk charged 400 LKR to drop you to main gate of 'Pool Club'. Pool club is nice location to hangout few mins where you can see 'Ella Swing', the pools & expensive restaurant in side the club. Then to second peak there are nice steps, so easy trekking, even on flip flops. Here is the point where you can take a break again. That is the 'Flying Rawana Zip line' starting point. Then start the last stretch (3rd peak). This stretch have concrete steps for some distance, but towards the apex the road is more narrow & damage but steady. Doable. Safe. At the top spectacular wives are amazing. Go early morning like 7 am otherwise late afternoon. Then less tired. Two hours is enough for return to main road if you are not physically weak. There is no any shelter at the peak, If weather is to be bad it's better to take an umbrella with you. It's worth. Must do if you are in Ella or nearby location.

Unusually this is a free to visit place
Good steps most of the way to the top, just a few areas to scramble. Rewarded with amazing views from top in all directions. But dangerous - so many folk teetering on edge for that ultimate pic. Wonder how many go too far! None I hope

    Little hike for everyone
Approximately 45 min walk from Ella centre to this hill. You need to take a path through private property, where they offer tea degustations, large swing and other attractions, but you dont need to pay for entrance. This is only way, but is accessable also for elderly people and kids. Little Adams Peak offers very nice scenery views to Ella city, Ella Rock and to the valley. Definitely go there when you are in Ella.

    Breathtaking Views and Easy Hike!
My experience hiking Little Adam's Peak was nothing short of amazing! The trail was well-marked and relatively easy, perfect for all skill levels. As I ascended, the views became increasingly breathtaking, with lush green tea plantations stretching out as far as the eye could see, and misty mountains providing a stunning backdrop. Once at the summit, I was rewarded with panoramic views that left me speechless. It's definitely worth the early morning hike to catch the sunrise or the late afternoon for sunset. Make sure to bring a camera to capture the beauty of this place! Whether you're an avid hiker or just looking for a leisurely stroll with stunning views, Little Adam's Peak is a must-visit destination in Ella, Sri Lanka. Highly recommended!

Easy for an old lady selling coconut at the top - I need a massage
Fairly easy hike - the stairs are a killer while the inclines are fine. After suffering for 30mn, you'll find an old lady selling coconut - how she brings her supplies is beyond me. It gets a bit crowded since it's a must-visit. I crossed path with a schooltrip on my way down.

Trek up the Little Adam’s Peak, Ella

One of the prettiest spots and most popular treks in Ella is up the Little Adam’s Peak. However, we came across an unexpected hazard. When we reached the point where the zipline takes off, we saw a sign posted which said, “drone cameras can trigger a bee attack.” There were no drone cameras evident, but very soon there was a bee attack. While we escaped, my driver waiting below said that about 20 people had to be taken to the hospital. I believe the authorities need to take care of this. If there are bees in the vicinity of this very popular spot and inclined to attack visitors, something must be done as a whole vacation can get ruined if one gets caught in a bee attack. Till this is sorted out, the literature should also give some guidelines for persons on how to avoid the bee attack and how to respond in case of one. One important thing I learnt by going through Google/Bing is that you never swat or try to fend off the bees but run as fast as you can and look for shelter. In spite of the beautiful trek, the rating reflects the hazard which the tourists were subjected to.

Trailing through the picturesque premises of 98 Acres Resort is the Little Adams Peak. From the top one could get a 360 degrees view of the whole terrific mountain terrain surrounding the Ella valley. Entry to the premises is free of charge. There is a plenty of recreational activities such as Flying Fox, Air rifling, archery and ACT and so on. All are being operated at high standards yet very reasonable rates by the resort itself. Non-alcoholic drinks are also available at the kiosk located halfway the beautiful hike.

It was about 2 hours hike up and down. We had to park on the road at the entrance to 98 acres hotel and walk from there. We went early in the morning around 6.30 am. Ideal time as weather is cooler and nice for photography.

The walk up to Little Adam’s Peak is doable by most people although those with mobility issues might give this one a pass. Easy flat first bit through tea plantation fields up to the zip line company office (where there are very clean toilets). Then the track gets more difficult and some scrambling is required. Over 300 steps/stairs and then the scrambling up to the top. However, the view is well worth the hike and the exercise is great for the legs and lungs. Once at the top you can go further but it is more difficult with a path that requires good strength and endurance. Total time to go up would be about an hour depending on your level of fitness. A must do!

It begins in quite an easy incline and there are lots of families with young kids enjoying the walk. Once you reach the top though there are three other peaks which you can walk to and the second of them is quite the challenge.

Some amazing opportunities for photos and for meeting people from other countries. My wife and I offered to take a photo for a couple of different people and now we are Instagram friends 😄

If you are not a big fan of hours spending on hike, try Little Adam’s Peak which takes approximately an hour or so up and down.

Adam’s Peak takes 6-7 hours to climb and our guide told us it can get crowded too especially during full moon as locals go up to pray.

On top of Little Adam’s Peak gives one a great view of Ella and a close look of Ella Rock, another place for hike adventurist as heard there’s no proper trail on Ella Rock.

Little Adam’s Peak’s trails are mainly steps and up to 3/4 of the way, one can also try the zip line.

Great view and recommended for non hikers.

Arrived by car at 5:20 and walked using mobile phone light. First part was very easy and steady, the last few minutes were steeper but, by then, it was light enough not to be a problem. There were a lovely range of hues as the minutes passed. Plenty of time to move around (there are a few spots to choose from at the top), take heaps of photos and enjoy sunrise.

Amazing view of the sun rising over the ridge. We went up at 5.30am and was at the top just after 6.10am watch the sun rise at 6.30am. Not too bad a walk and mostly on steps however wear enclosed trainers. Free to do and some great views from the top. Get up early to enjoy this place.

This is one of the must-do activities when visiting Ella. We were lucky that we booked and stayed at “Chillout Ella” Hotel where is located right at the entry point of the hiking. Hiking is relatively easy for anyone at all ages with good fitness level since most of the paths are not so steep and built with staircase. Generally, it took us about 45 mins or less to climb up to the top where it provides stunning panoramic views of the mountain ranges. There is no fee required to enter this hiking trail and zip line activities is available along the way for those who seek more adventurous fun! This activities can be combined with visiting to Nine Arch Bridge as there is a connecting path going to Nine Arch Bridge. A good 3 hours to be spent here or longer especially for nature trekking lovers!

A nice hike with lovely views at every turn.

Don’t believe the signs, it is considerably longer than the 500 m noted at the entry point. (In fact, a second sign more than 1/2 km in read 650 m further...)

Regardless, it is more than worth it!

There are local vendors along the path selling water, cold drinks, King coconut and other offerings.

The Mega Zipline is accessible just before the summit climb. There are cools pots to sit and rest, if you wish.
