Unless you really want to know how modern day Indians worship, this is not a recommended trip for tourists expecting to see something of artistic and architectual value. Plus, it takes time. We got stuck in traffic (the temple is located outside Haridwar), waited in line for tickets, waited in line for the ski-lift (which is why Google maps marks it as a ski resort), waited in line to pass through the various worshipped statues of deities, waited in the line to get back down...

One can reach chandi devi by road or by Rope way. Combo ticket can be purchased for Manasadevi rope way Chandi Devi Rope way, they will provide bus from manasa devi to chandi devi (To & Fro) in the combo ticket. Rope journey in the hills will leave a beautiful experience in you.

It’s a very local experience not something that the average foreigner might pursue but we found it fascinating. Getting to the cable car requires an auto rickshaw which our hotel arranged. Once there the security staff kindly took us in Hand to guide us through the somewhat complicated arrangements to access cable car. It wasn’t exactly Swiss standard but worked. Once there we headed for the close by temple. It being a religious holiday we weren’t the only ones. It’s colourful and fascinating.

The temple was crowded but you have the choice of buying the premium darshan tickets (real time saver!). The tickets you buy for Chandi Devi temple can also be used at the Mansa Devi temple. In our view this is a very good deal. The cable car services are usually preferred by a majority of the people visiting the temple and it carries the pilgrims directly from the lower station to the temple. It is convenient and offers good views of the surrounding areas. Form the Har ki Pauri area, the temple is about 20-25mnts away in an e-Rikshaw.

This temple situated across the Ganga from Mansa Devi temple has adequate parking for cars. You can either walk up which is steep or easily take a ropeway ride to the top. Beware of monkeys there which will snatch food and even water. Darshan is pretty decent and not rushed. You can buy Prasad and offerings from the shops which are in huge numbers outside.

Devine place to seek blessings and easy to reach with Ropeway. Take tickets at manchadevi temple for combo with their bus service. And includes both ropeway tickets also. Taking combo is cheaper also. And also not take car to manchadevi sight. Go by walk only.

The Ropeway is costly. The pooja stalls on top are over priced for absolutely nothing. No great view. Just top of a mountain and jungle all over. If you are not a hard core hindu who can do away with visiting temples, may choose to do so. You are not missing anything great !

It is located at the height . There are two options to reach the temple either by foot or by cable car locally called as UDAN KHATOLA .One can purchase combined ticket for this temple and for Mansa Devi Temple to travel by cable car to both temples which is probably slightly cheaper with facility for free transport by bus from one rope way point to other rope way point as this temple is out side city and Mansa Devi temple is in the heart of city and the distance between two points must be 4-5 K.M. .Chnadi Devi Temple is higher than Mansa Devi temple . Journey by Cable car is enjoyable . The temple is simple with deity in the center. From the back of temple one gets panoramic view if city which is breath taking
