One of the prettiest beaches in Sydney without the crowds.

Pristine beach with enough cafes and restaurants to keep it interesting. Weekends get crazy so get there early. Dog friendly walk along the esplanade.

We went on a Tuesday so it was a nice peaceful trip. Not too many people. Restaurants are good and nicely located. Would definitely go again on a quiet day as the weekend is extremely busy.

Best beach on the north shore. Nice and flat water. Gorgeous sand, not too packed. Great variety of restaurants/cafes for whatever your budget/vibe is. Friendly people. Dog friendly. Parking is a nightmare and can cost a fortune.

One of our favourite beaches Parking on the front or free spots just a bit further back. Great sand and lots of it. There are toilets, a selection of cafe and fish and chips. A small island that you walk to over some steps. It's and inland beach so no big waves coming in - just teeny ones so ideal... More

My husband and I love this beach! It has more of a small-town feel than what we'd experienced at Bondi, Manly, or Coogee. It was still a bit crowded, but there were plenty of areas to spread out in. The surf here is so calm, so it's perfect for a swim or for kids. We saw so many prams and... More

Lovely place to walk in the evening with plenty choices of restaurants, bars near by. It is also a nice place to enjoy the dusk at sunset. Good swimming facilities near by. Not too crowded.

Gorgeous spot to sit and unwind and watch the view and passing travellers on a weekend. Great spot for a picnic and for the kids to have a swim and run around.

Beautiful views, a lovely wide path for strollers, scooters etc and some lovely shallow parts of the water make this a favourite spot at the weekends for our family. There are also quite a few cafes with views right out to the water so you can enjoy brunch or just coffee before / after strolling along the promenade.
