I've been going to Balmoral Beach, on and off, for years. It is a very beautiful beach set in Sydney Harbour. The only down side is that it can be crowded on weekends, especially in summer, but then this is true for many Sydney beaches.

beautiful beach with pristine waters on the sydney harbour. much prized by locals. many places to have meals and coffee and lots of joggers and sport fans around.

It was supposed to be 28degC in Sydney on Sunday but it was freezing when we came. Nice little family beach.

This is truly a lovely beach. Wonderful sand, great amenities and public transport. Plus to top it all off you get to see a couple of playful dolphins too. Only downside is parking.

Lovely beach whether for swimming, walking or enjoying the local cafes. Most recent visit was for a wedding and there couldn't be a better atmosphere for such a special occasion. Only real negative is cost of parking, expensive if only coming for breakfast but less...More

Forget Bondi, tourist trap, find the 245 bus from Wynyard station to visit the most family friendly beach in Sydney.

A family friendly beach with a gentle swell, clean sand and a quiet nature. Best during the week where it is often silently empty and gorgeous

suggest you widen your area to stay ..there are number of places to stay close by to consider as manly with easy access by ferry to city and attractions ..check out the real estates in the area..hope this helps
