4 reviews
Go beyond the normal tourist sights on this 8-hour tour of Sydney’s Northern Beaches. See the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House as you travel north and relax over a beach picnic morning tea. Stop at Manly Beach, Palm Bach, and view the scenic peninsula on a ferry ride, spend time walking the beaches and break for a browse at local boutiques before stopping at your choice of lunch spots (own expense). The day takes visitors to a variety of famous and little known beaches without the hassles of organizing rental cars, public transportation or navigation, with added local insights.

Beautiful beach, super busy but lovely to take children too. Beautiful walk up and down from Mosman as well.

This Sydney Harbourside beach is a real gem. Perfect for families with safe swimming, playground, grassy park areas and food options. Also great for walking and flat, well maintained footpaths and plenty of shade make it easily accessible for wheelchairs, walkers and those whose mobility may be not as good as it once was. Plenty of parking but that can be expensive if there for a few hours. Perfect picnic spot but don't eat right near the water's edge as the seagulls are feral and aggressive.

I lived in Sydney for 10 years and I spent most of my time at Balmoral after living there when I was 5 to 6and spending every weekend there Balmoral is truly magical with a great jetty for jumping and enclosed area to swim without having to fear the sharks trust me they are there! Balmoral is the best bay beach in Sydney.

In my opinion Balmoral is the best beach in Sydney - provided that you are not wishing to surf. It offers the following: Easy access via public transport either by way of frequent bus or ferry and bus. Well tendered facilities - swept sand, protected child swimming area, garbage bins regularly emlptied, modern change rooms with showers and toilets. There is a patrolled beach section, large grass/park area with shade trees. Dining opportunitys are eclectic ,ranging from economical take away to high end. Like all popular areas car parking near the beach is relatively expensive. Enjoy.

Balmoral consists of two sandy beaches separated by a rocky grass and tree covered promontory in the middle. The latter is a good place to chill out if you want a bit of shade and maximum exposure to any breeze that might be around. The beaches are quite fine sand and a gentle slope into the water. The whole bay is sheltered so not rough. There are some toilet facilities and shops just behind the beach. Would have scored a 5 but the recent stormy weather has clouded up the waterin all the Sydney harbour beaches.
