I go to wanaka quite a bit for work and I never get tired of the drive over the crown range and arriving in beautiful wanaka. The lake front surrounded by the mountains is breathtaking!!

Summer or Winter this amazing little town will have something for you. In summer the lake is perfect for swimming, lounging around and just enjoying the vibe while in winter the town buzzes with snow lovers of all ages. Fantastic part of the world!!!

Wish we had more time to spend here. The cafes, pubs and other eateries looked really good. The drive is lovely from Queenstown but feels like forever to get there (over an hour). Well worth a visit.

Wanaka is a thriving city. We have only visited during the month of June so there are skiers everywhere. It has a huge supermarket so you can purchase all your food requirements for self catering. I agree that prices are a little on the high side. It is a great base for skiing at Cardrona.

No doubt Wanaka is a beautiful place and have lots to offer, but I find the prices here a bit on the high side, especially when comparing to the neighboring Queenstown.

Have stayed in queenstown 3 times and thought we would stay in Wanaka this time. What a great decision. Close to cardrona for skiing and full of great restaurants. Lots of other attractions nearby. Not as busy as queenstown but has a great vibe and of course a beautiful lake of its own!

We stayed here for a couple of nights. Never realised how much they have to offer here in activities and relaxation. Will be back, stay longer to explore more of what the have to offer. Beautiful scenery everywhere.

Arrived 2 months ago on a limb for a new job but has worked out extremely well the people are freindly the resterants are great and plent to do. With the skifeilds open they attract lots of tourests from around the world so you meet people from lots of different cultures never want to leave.

My favourite place in the whole world, there is no word to describe the beauty of wanaka. When you sit in the park and relaxing the sight are just breath taking.
