We were in Wanaka on Sunday, wandering across Pembroke Park’s craft market, looking for local make gift. We were disappointed with both the choice, quality and prices of items on display. It just happened that we dropped in to a shop called ORIGINZ, after having breakfast in nearby bakery (Dough Bin) along Ardmore Street. This gift shop had everything designed and made in New Zealand. The quality of products was good, with plenty of varieties. Surprisingly the prices of product were better than those in that so called Craft Market. We purchased a few items to take home. The service was also great.

Lots of stalls ..... just happened on this market as was passing through ...bought some great presents to take home that were unique - something you can't find in the big gift shops. A few interesting characters to talk to.... people seem friendly and genuinely interested here... most don't care for US tourists...

Only open from 3 to 6pm thurssay. Went for a look to kill some time. Nice little market consisting of no more than 20 stalls varying from locally made soaps to knitted crafts, lovely wood turned bowls to polished stone jewelry.

Attended Thursday afternoon. Circa 10 stalls, soaps, candles, patisserie, and assorted local craft. All good quality, though limited variety. Highlight would be the patisserie - wide selection of bread, macaroons, pastries - they seemed to sell quickly (perhaps a reflection on the lack of a decent baker in Wanaka).
