We arranged for a private fast boat transportation from Lautoka on June 6, 2020 to Tokoriki Island for scuba diving and return on June 11 and of course provided a 50% deposit. And then our travel plans fell apart due to the pandemic, Paul Gauguin cruise ship had to cancel and Air Fiji canceled as well. We gave notice to Seafiji on March 23 and informed them of our predicament and requested a refund of our deposit. I am so pleased to announce that Ron Bradley of Seafiji replied on June 3 that a complete refund is on the way and he apologized that their accountant only works one day a week on these matters so the reason for a delay in communication. I am sure that we are not the only ones to cancel due to the pandemic and patience is necessary.

We wanted to charter a boat to bring my family of 11 adults back from beautiful Tokoriki Island, we had spent 10 days there and wanted to maximise our stay before flying back to Australia. We booked a charter boat with Sea Fiji and had to pre pay $1,600FJD by credit card to confirm the booking, on the afternoon before our departure we contacted Sea Fiji to confirm our pick up and were told everything was good to go and they would have a boat at Tokoriki to pick us I up at the scheduled time, on the day of the pick they rang us around 10.00am and said the weather was too rough and there would be no boat to pick us up and we would have to make other arrangements to get back to the airport, panic set in on how to get 11 people to the airport to catch their flight home. Thanks to Island Hoppers helicopter services who transferred us to the airport at a cost of $682.00 FJD each, a total spend of $7,502.00 FJD luckily we all made it on time no thanks to Sea Fiji. When I got back to Denarau I went over to their office at the Marina and ask for a refund because they had cancelled out trip, they rang the manager and he apologises and said it would take a week to put the funds back into my account. 2 week later after numerous emails they finally told me that it was not their policy to give refunds, I find that extremely strange because it was therm who cancelled the charter. My advice to anyone wanting to charter a boat in Fiji is to chose another charter company as Sea Fiji are a bunch of crooks as well as liars, by being required to pre pay for your charter you are leaving yourself wide open to be robbed by this bunch of thieves. Get a row boat it will be quicker

My wife and I recently visited Fiji for a romantic getaway, so we were overwhelmed with joy and excitement to visit. Fiji is beyond anything we could have expected and the people were amazing, however we were misinformed and misled by Seafiji or specifically Roneel. We were ultimately taken advantage of and that’s not a good feeling to start off any trip. While we were at Port Denarau, we tried to find options to get us to Likuliku Resort. Seafiji was the first one we came across at port and we discussed taking a ferry to Likuliku OR a speedboat. The ferry was actually leaving around that time and we had plenty of time to catch it, but Roneel informed us that it would take over 2 hours to get to Likuliku based on the route it takes. However, he advised us that a speedboat would only be about 30 mins and could take us right away. And since we were willing to maximize our time at the resort, we agreed to pay $709 FJ to get us to Likuliku via speedboat based on the information given. As we walked around the port, we came across another company that handled the ferry and they advised us they would only charge us $130 FJ each to get us to Likuliku and that it’s the FIRST stop. Therefore it would only be about 40 - 50 mins max. On top of that there was a delay with the speedboat, so we had to wait over 30 mins. By the time we learned these details... we tried to cancel and take the ferry, but it was too late. To top it off... a couple we met at port that was also going to Likuliku, beat us there?! So not only did we pay almost THREE TIMES to take the speedboat, but the ferry would’ve actually gotten us there quicker! We were both pretty frustrated but didn’t want to let that interfere with our stay. We brought this all up to Roneel at that time or while we were at port and he understood our feelings, therefore he gave us his direct email and said he’d work something out for us with the remainder of our trip or stay in Fiji. We figured that would be fair, but we thought wrong! I reached back out to Ron a couple days later to confirm details and get quotes for our next transfer. We never imagined that we would end up feeling that way again. He emailed me that he could do the remainder of our trip for $1000 FJ, which I found to be reasonable under the circumstances. HOWEVER, when I received the confirmation... I noticed our return boat was via ferry! We obviously always assumed this was all through Seafiji via speedboat... since Likuliku would have charged us $500 FJ total to take us to our next stop and the ferry would have been $160 FJ each to Nadi... TOTAL OF $820 FJ. Therefore we actually paid more once again and find ourselves feeling misled or taken advantage of again... That’s not to even mention that we were told we would be picked up at 1:30 for that transfer and ended up waiting until 2:20. Again, under all these circumstances you would think they would be on time... or at the least, communicate they’re running late?! I reached out to Seafiji numerous times to help us with this all and to make things right... since I’m not one to bring something like this up, but was hopeful they would take a bad situation and at least try to make it better? Having a customer pointing out facts on being misled or taken advantage of is pretty serious. I finally heard from Ron, Sales and Marketing Manager for Seafiji. She was completely unapologetic and showed no empathy for the position we were in. I realize they have a business to run and profits are important, but “upselling” customers by misleading or misinforming them is completely unethical. I realize customers have some responsibility with due diligence, but they should never be taken advantage of. Avoid Seafiji by all costs and avoid the headaches we experienced, because if you make that mistake... their lack of customer service will just make it all worse.

Seafiji was a great way to spend our day island hopping. We would like to say thank you to Josh and the captain for ensuring we had the best day possible. We had a private motorboat and it was a pretty smooth trip, although there are expected waves. Thank you again- Magda, Tom , Chantelle and Laura

Great crew took us from Port Denaru to Castaway Island & back. They were right on schedule with great boats & captains. Twin 200 HP outboards made quick, smooth trip - almost too quick, as we were enjoying the beautiful view. They made our transfer quick & easy, and even booked our ground transfer for us. Vinaka, SeaFiji!
