Best day trip

We did the combo cruise, it was a great way to see surrounding islands although wish we had stayed longer on South Sea Island as it felt a little rushed to do all the activities & have time for lunch.
The combo is a mix of 3hrs on the island & 3 hours on the boat shuttling to each island (it isn't a tour).
South Sea Island is wonderful & took our breath away, we spent a lot of time in the crystal clear water, I highly recommend staying longer on the island and spending a day there, it helped being able to enjoy a steady flow of fiji gold :)

Beautiful Island...

We did enjoy our day on South Sea Island, mostly because we were determined to do so.

Started with a BBQ lunch that was worse than average, hardly the “delicious buffet” we were promised. All the meats were horrendously over cooked and that salad had been out in the sun too long.

As we were half day visitors, all the shaded spots had been taken, so we ended up in the full sun on the beach. I cannot thank the nice man who offered us a sun umbrella enough, he certainly was one of the highlights of this trip.

It took us several hours of tripping back and forth to the water sports bure to finally get snorkeling equipment, s there was not enough to go around. What we did get ended up being broken (neither of our life jackets did up properly), but we finally made it out into the water and saw a few fish.

The semi-submersible was ok, but the need to clear the windows up.

The staff were very friendly, all except the bar staff, they were just rude. Everyone else was lovely.

It was an ok place to spend half a day, glad we didn’t do a full day. Won’t go back.

This is a great experience with amazing value for money. You can do kayaking, paddle boarding, snorkeling, and swim in the sea or the pool for the whole day and all the gear is included. Lunch caters to all tastes with a BB and fruit. Drinks are unlimited. The ladies that sell stuff are better than the shops in Denarau and Nadi so it would pay to keep some extra cash for jewelry purchases. The guide was really encouraging and helped me to snorkel even though I could not swim, definitely went that extra mile with service. Staff were attentive and friendly. This was unanimously the best day for everyone.

The not so AWESOME PASS (upgraded)

This was a poor experience. I planned this trip for a month or two after restrictions lifted. Their website advised a 24 hour advanced booking to which Island you'd like to stay on for a minimum of two days and mandatory meal fees. I tried to book by email a week in advance to lay out my itinerary. I gave them what resorts I'd like to stay at and when I arrive & depart. A day passes with no response so I contact with an alternate email in case something went wrong. Again, too long to respond as flight day approaches. I call them long distance. A bit more runaround and I'm getting nervous. Between my first email and my flight, I had called twice(and was hung up on once) and emailed countless times to no avail. I arrived in Fiji with nothing booked. I taxied to the port and demanded a booking asap. There was a problem with their modem so I spent all my FJD to pay them(and still got charged 3% visa fee). They finally give me a pass and an itinerary. When I left my first Island, they tried to argue I only bought and eleven day pass instead of twelve, which wouldve left me stranded. When I left my second Island, I was told the boat was not running(and never does on that particular day) and I could not transfer to my next destination. I had to pay for my own transfer, this happened twice in two days out of twelve. So they switched around my itinerary and almost lost my bag in the process as I caught it from being delivered to the wrong Island. Before going to my last destination, they told me my last ferry wouldn't be running to get me to the airport in time for departure. So they switched my two days at Octopus Resort(one of the best and most expensive) for one day on South Sea Island and one day in a dorm at a hostel at the Port on the mainland. When complaining at the main office, I got brushed off with canned "I'm sorry and understand your frustration" responses. They also told me I shouldn't have waited so last minute next time. Terrible! They booked my itinerary with 3 separate crucial timing flaws and blamed me for it. Not worth it.

Terrible Online Service

First of all Id like to state that ive been on their cruises a many times, so i tried emailing them recently for a booking and there was no reply till a few days later i swiftly replied yet they responmded another few days later. WTF. so i resulted to calling which clearly saying i wanted a half day cruise the girl booked on a full day and emailed memy details which i replied to but then never got a reply till i didnt make the cruise the same day. Then i called again, stating Im a local and required pick up but then the lady i was talking to told me that only hotel guests got pick up, this was the first ive ever heard of that cos they always did pick ups anyways from hotels, i said i was staying at the mercure and i wanted pickup and to make a booking she then responded that i find myself the next day to the marina and book at the counter or go down to the rosie tour desk at the hotel to make the booking, if i wanted hotel pickup. This was the first time thats ever happened to me with a call booking with SSC. But the handling of Locals in this manner especially in an Off season, when your supposed to be trying your best with the local market to make up the numbers but instead your discouraging them from going with this sort of nonsense. Just Pathetic

Terrible communication has left us out of pocket with no travel plans

We booked a cruise through Expedia, and were meant to confirm our pick up time the day before we left for the cruise. We called SSC 7 times and were told Expedia needed to send the booking number. Expedia confirmed they had done this, but we got no confirmation from south seas about pick up time. The morning of the cruise we attempted to call and couldn’t get through. Expedia called on our behalf and after 10mins they let us know our bus was 15mins away. We had no time to get ready, so were forced to cancel. The tourism operator south sea cruises then offered a less than 50% refund for the “experience”. Terrible communication, no confidence on this operator. They have ruined the last day of our holiday as we had based our activities on the expectation of going to a beach club on a remote island for a day, I guess now we will go shopping in sigatoka instead 😒

Took the Yasawa Flyer from Pt Denarau to the Yasawa Islands over the Christmas 2022 break. Engine broke down on one of trips over requiring us to stay an extra night at our hotel. While these sorts of things happen, our experience of how management responded was the worst I've ever experienced.

SSC failed to notify our hotel about this, failed to provide any updates to us and when we attempted to submit a claim, it took them >2 months (with lots of prompting from us) to provide us with a response. When they did, they simply referred us onto someone else.

I'd never use SSC again and would rather swim to the Yasawa's next time.

Sea spray amazing adventures! 15.02.20

Wow, I was on seaspray, excursion for 1 day. We cone to Denorau Port, 1 hour by sea to nex boat (from big to small), it was yacht for 15 people's. Staff played songs and music, served good lunch, welcome drinks, helpful and friendly. We visiting 2 islands, 1 there was movie with Tom Hanks, and second where we drinking Kava. We watched Isla village, meet some people there.

Included snorkeling.

Be careful your skin, sun is born!!!

Bula vsamuchev We love 5 star reviews - lets face it, who doesn't! So grateful you chose Seaspray as one of your day trip excursions. It really is an unspoiled part of Fiji and many visitors return to do this day trip again and again. The crew also really enjoy their day when they have a great group of passengers on board, who can sing and dance along, with a day full of laughter and so much fun. Seaspray can accommodate up to 28 passengers - perfect for parties and small group or family exclusive day out. Vinaka (thank you)

Comfortable ferry

We caught this to Nanuya island. We upgraded to the captains lounge which gave you free drinks and snacks. Was good as our trip was 5 hours. There is an option to get snacks on board too if you don’t upgrade. Very efficient operation with luggage all sorted by resort/stop and boats coming out the meet the ferry to take the passengers to their resorts/accom.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER

One of the WORST customer service we have ever experienced. Booked south sea cruises as they are the only ones that operate to our resort (Sheraton Tokiriki) from the Denarau port. On our way back to the port before we had to leave for the airport. We got to know that they broke our luggage which was almost new and pretty expensive as well. When we went to register a complaint the lady came and said sorry but I can’t do anything you should have taken an insurance for the luggage. It was just a 1 hour journey from our resort to the port and they wanted us to take an insurance instead of making sure they put the luggage properly. Try avoiding them if you can or don’t carry luggage.
