Bad weather, not their fault, but I tried calling them at 8 in the morning wanting to know if I was going to be able to do this trip, no one answered the phone! it was my last day on Fiji, the boat was leaving at 9, they emailed at 10 If I wanted to go on the trip or if I wanted to reschedule... Hello? I was already on the boat because your servicecenter wasn't open before the boat was leaving... It was so stormy, the "cruiseship" that I was supposed to travel on was a ferry that was packed with people, so many of us sitting on the floor and standing, because there arent enough seats on this ship. I arrive an the snorkeling Island, the snorkelgear seemed poorly cleaned and I was concerned that I might catch something putting that in my mouth... Then we drrove out to ocean in this litte boat of a tincan with waves a meter high and afeter we were out for half an hour they decided to turn around... No sharks, no snorkeling just all wet, freezing, arriving back on the island, everthing costs extra... And then just going back on the overcrowded ferry to go back to the hotel... Because it was my last day in Fiji I couldn't reschedule, so I asked them for a refund two or the times but they never contacted me back. So overall for me just a waste of Time, Money and Energy and I would not recommend it to anyone. Not that I don't think they dont care about their cultur or that the experience in itself is great... But the customerservice is just overall horrible!

We have emailed this to the Fijian cruise company, let's hope they refund our money and change their adverts! ——— We have left both a facebook message and facebook post hoping to reach someone. We are contacting you here to try and gain a resolution of our complaint, which we detail further below. We booked the Yasawa Islands Sightseeing Cruise after reading the hotel brochure titled 'Full Day Adventure Cruise...' on board the ''Yasawa Flyer' a comfortable, fast catamaran...'. We had been on the Captain Cook dinner cruise the night before and expected something similar but during the day and longer and is why we didnt mind paying the asking price of $215 per person. On Saturday 2 September our bad day started with the transfer bus not stopping at The Westin to pick us up, we were there waiting and saw the bus pull up but was not even there long enough for the concierge to go to his door to ask what transfer it was and then the bus took off. We then had to get a Taxi for $10 and almost missed the boat. Upon arriving to the port, we were given our tickets and were told to rush because the 'Yellow Ferry' will be leaving very soon. And so we rushed to board. The day then become worse, we could not find a seat to sit on, for the first hour of the trip, there were many people who sat on the steps or on the floor as the only seats left were broken. We eventually sat in the many seats that become available after that first hour. We then enquired about being able to get off the ferry to hop from resort to resort (as this is what the brochure inferred we could do) and we were told we were not allowed off the ferry as we didnt have the bookings at the resorts; we were explained that what we booked was purely just to stay on the ferry for the 9 hour expected trip out and back to the port. By this stage we were disappointed and annoyed that the brochure conveyed such grandeur, stating we would be on '...a comfortable, fast catamaran...'. The seats were not comfortable, the seats were either ripped and or broken or had thin foam; not something that you sit on for 9 hours! No where did any advertisment say we were to stay on the ferry. We assumed by your brochure that the red dots were where we were able to disembark the boat to look around the island and island hop for the 'full day adventure curise'. As we has been up since 6am to meet the 7.45am bus transfer, we were getting hungry and expected lunch to be around 12.30pm (midday). We again made enquiries for lunch and were told that lunch is picked up at the end of the trip. We then enquired about our drinks vouchures and were told it was one water and one soft drink per person. This is definately not sufficient liquid for 9 hours and was disgusted that we were not informed to bring extra water or drinks. Finally at 1.45pm we received our packed lunch which was a COLD toasted sandwich with COLD egg and ham and COLD meant to be hot chips. We could not eat this and had to dispose of the food in the bin. Upon sitting inside we found the air conditioning to not work efficiently and saw cockroaches and ants on the tables. This ferry had not been hygienically cleaned and was not the standard portrayed on your brochures. We felt duped and disappointed and after all that money spent we lost a day of our 5 day Fijian holiday on board this passenger ferry. We are seeking compensation, a full refund of $430 Fijian Dollars. And would like you to change your brochures and advertising to ensure other like-minded travellers do not experience the same disappointment as we did.

This day adventure was a highlight of our 10 day tour through the Yasawa islands. Easy transfer from our resort to the wharf and boat for the day. Headed off with some great commentary and tour guiding from the staff. First stop at the Castaway island with some snorkelling and opportunity to explore the island, before coming back on board for a fantastic delicious lunch cooked on board - lots of food and drinks at all times. Headed for a tour of a local village which was a great experience, before another dip in the ocean. Then headed back for transport back to our resort. A great day all around - thanks to all the team!

This is a small island which accommodates limited number of people at a time, the package for day tour included kayaking, snorkelling, lunch and unlimited beverages at the island. The snorkelling equipment on offer were just kept in a tub with soap water shared among visitors (you might as well take one along instead of borrowing that) and given the crowd they were well short of kayaks as well. They didn't have any vegetarian option in lunch menu (apart from fruits, salads and of course rice) and neither they had the an option to opt it out from package so it felt a bit expensive at that price (Other options like Malamala beach club had that). I think they need to raise their standards & quality of service given the cost for single tour.

It’s well organised with slick on time departure/arrival at South Sea Island. There is a briefing on the activities on arrival South Sea Island but you need to be ready to go ‘cos we missed the 1st submarine ride and didn’t see the 2nd one loading up so we missed it. We did get on the guided snorkelling trip (best take your own gear, what’s on offer is pretty crap) but the wind and the weather had got up and we just went a little way off the main beach. It should have been stopped for health and safety reasons as we with others, had to fight our way back to the boat exhausted in a one metre swell. All 3 crew had to get into the water to help people get back (the boat was anchored). We were knackered when we got back on board as were many others. Not clever – beware! Incidentally there was nothing to see on the seabed anyway, just a dead reef! They have fresh water showers which was great so we showered and then had lunch. The salads were great, the bread was fresh but the BBQ meat was inedible, the fish overcooked and the chicken thighs just OK. It’s cheap and cheerful stuff and the soft drinks, beer and wine are free. The loud speaker system didn’t really work and the whole place looked like the BBQ food, cheap and cheerful and dilapidated. We left at 12.45 and did the island tour and was back in Port Denarau by 3pm. The tour was interesting (and out of the sun!) but the seas were running high and the Captain ploughed on though, keeping to schedule, with some pretty green passengers onboard. The morning was long enough for us on the island and I’m not sure if I would do it again. The snorkelling experience with the disregard for folks safety is a very bad memory.
