There is plenty of shelter and it is a good place to stop and rest, you can camp there and caravans & campers are welcome.

Huge salt lake right next to the highway. Good views from the carpark and you can walk down to the lake edge. Worth stopping for a look.

Good Day ShellGirl Yes you can camp there, but there are no camping facilities, so you have to be self sufficient, you may also need to confirm where the camping spots are. Have a safe journey and wonderful time.

It's about 30 mins. Not too far away to the rest area.
