Gorgeous, but Look into Where You "Park"
Jul 2021
Despite how beautiful the island clearly is, it is much degraded by storm damage such that a number of vessels cannot "park" right near the beach. It can be difficult to get ashore (fighting a current in water well over your head; floatation devices insufficient for transporting any gear - much less a towel - to the beach) if you are a late coming boat, even on expensive catamaran tours. Consider instead a water taxi (bring your own shade, gear and water!) or look into how early your vessel will arrive at the island. We were happy to have seen the gorgeous but eroding island while it is still there, but should have enjoyed it from the boat.

Take Cariduros Water Taxi to Visit Icacos
Jul 2021
Cayo Icacos is a beautiful Island, pristine turquois waters ,very busy during weekends. Nice for swimming. We take Cariduros Water Taxi, They are the best water taxi ! Capitan Reynaldo was so kind to us ,We were a family group of 8 ,including my Elderly parents . Capitan Reynaldo helped my 77 years old Mother get in /out from the boat. It was a very successful trip to Icacos. We have a great family day in Icacos thanks to Reynaldo and Cariduros Water Taxi. The only inconvenience is the trash in some areas of the Island ,including broken glasses I picked up all the trash that I saw because we needs to preserve this pretty Island of Icacos.

Love the island. If your looking for an entertaining ride with great music for the youger crowed I would recommend the Travelers Boat tour. Unfortunatly that wasn't the tour I was on.

Fun in the sun in Caya Icacos
Jul 2021 • Family
We took the 5.5 hour catamaran/snorkeling tour with Castillo tours, which left out of Fajardo. The crew was great, they provided rum drinks, water, and a brown bag lunch. It took about 30 or so minutes from the marina to arrive at beach at Caya Icacos. They let down a stair into the water (which was about 4-5’ deep. They have floaties available if needed. The captain pointed out that the area around the old railroad dock had some neat things to see, old mule train carts which became reefs (water about 5’ deep).

No restroom facilities on the island but the catamaran does have them, but requires walking down stairs so depending on mobility could be a challenge. The sand which and chips were good, as were the drinks. The snorkeling was good and my family had a great time. Genesis was our hostess and she was great.

Beautiful place and beach.

Is beautiful place to swimming during the day. Careful there is glass in some area because some people like to destroy beauty. I wish that there is like a mini cafeteria there.

Fantastic!
May 2021
Captain David took us out to two islands. We snorkeled (provided by the captain) and had just the most amazing time! I appreciated the punctuality of the service and the price was fair. And what touched me most is how much the captain cares for the water. We pointed out an empty plastic bottle floating in the ocean and he gently, fished it out to dispose of responsibly on shore.

I 100% recommend if you're ever in Fajardo!

A must when coming to Fajardo!
May 2021
A must in Puerto Rico. Just a couple of things to keep in mind. There is no shade so make sure you have an umbrella or a good hat and sunscreen. There are no bathroom facilities so you have to take care of our needs elsewhere. You may wanna bring anything to eat or drink since you can't purchase anything on the island. When we got to the area where we boarded our boat we had the option to rent two chairs for 7 dollars and you leave a 5 dollar deposit which you get back when you return them. Those chairs were a life saver.

Loved Icacos!
Mar 2021
Our family of four took a last minute trip to Icacos with mandibula water taxi. We had a great trip! It was a weekday, and not overly busy (I was a little worried about crowds knowing it is a popular place to visit.) Once we got there we took a short walk to the left and had a our own private stretch of beach. We enjoyed swimming and lazing around. Bring water and an umbrella for shade!
