Trip was a lot of fun. The operators were very informative and entertaining. They went out of their way for us and even gave us a ride back to the hotel we were staying at. It was challenging to bioluminescent organisms, but overall very worthwhile.

I'm very glad we chose to take a boat, as opposed to kayaking in the bioluminescent bay. With only six passengers and three crew on the boat, I felt like we received a more interesting and informative experience than those folks we saw struggling to guide their kayaks in the sometimes crowded, narrow waterway to the bioluminescent bay. Due to... More

It was definitely a great experience. I am not into kayak, so tour the biobay with boat is a much better choice. The captain and the tour guide did an excellent job. Recommend!

I booked the Bio Island electric boat tour for my son and I an hour before it was scheduled. When we arrived, our seats had been sold at the dock and they were unable to accommodate us. The staff were very apologetic and rebooked us for several nights later, refunding my child's fee as compensation. There was some confusion when... More

We have used this company twice, in 2013 and again a couple nights ago. These guys are awesome, so friendly and knowledgable. Each time we have gone we have been so thankful that we chose this group, the other companies and their kayakers just don't look like they're having nearly as much fun, constantly struggling with the darkness, banging in... I want to say that my rating reflects ONLY bio bay and NOT the tour company. The tour company (bio Island PR Tours) was awesome with a good staff, good service, friendly, and informative. I have been so excited about visiting bio bay for several years. I finally made it to PR and was excited to book our tour. I... More

We chose this trip as a family of 5 traveling with a toddler. We knew that the kayaks would be hard to coordinate with the baby on board, so decided to go with this tour company based on their prior reviews. It was the most amazing experience! Even though we went out on a night closer to full moon than... More

My family and I just returned from our trip to Puerto Rico. Before going, we had planned on doing this because of the rarity of this experience. I would suggest that one do their research before going, so they know what to expect. The bay is not "lit up" and glowing like one would think. They are tiny single cell... More

Upon my research for a trip to see a bio luminescent bay, I found Bioisland and would highly recommend taking the electric boat tour. The staff was not only friendly and welcoming upon our arrival, but knowledgeable and informative as well. Safety is their number one concern, followed by trying to give their guests the best possible experience. Entering the... More

The advertising on their website (and some other similar websites) is deceiving. If you expect to find yourself in the middle of blue glowing plankton you will be disappointed a lot. There is nothing to see in the lagoon (the water is completely dark), only if you stir the water with a stick you see something - in our case... More
