Great time!

My 10 year old daughter and I had a great time with BioIsland. I was a little worried about Kayaking with her through the dark mangrove trees so decided on the boat. The crew was really great. As we were going through the mangroves the crew pointed out Iguanas in the trees and other wildlife. We went when there was... More

The decision to book our BioBay excursion with BioIsland made our trip to San Juan. You will find no better way to enjoy this once in a lifetime experience. Captain Jeff and Our tour guide Mario shared their wealth of knowledge with the group and made this a truly enlightening experience. Despite what you may read in some other reviews,... More

My teenage daughter and I took this tour. I reserved online after hearing about the electric boat on another travel website. So glad I did, not so sure we would have been ready for adventure of kayaking thru the dark mangroves. Saw many jealous kayakers on the way! We took the last tour of the evening and it ran about... We enjoyed our tour but if you are expecting to see the brilliant blue light shown on the company website that is not what you will see! They even admit those are pictures taken with an slr camera. That being said, the tour guide Mario and captain Jeff were very friendly and super informative. Going through the mangroves is pretty... More

highly exaggerated, nothing like what you see in the pictures, highly disappointed and extremely overpriced. if you still decide to go, you may want to lower your expectation way down.

Well, first it's not that bad to get to. We rented a car and Googled it. Upon arriving, the stand is labeled and the tour guides were waiting. Very friendly and they offered us something to drink upon arrival. I am in a wheel chair and was very nervous on how I was going to get on the boat. Well,... More

The night we went was pretty good weather wise. You had to roll out a tarp to see the tiny lights. You could even catch them in your hands. The guys were good at telling us what all was going on. The kayakers hated us for being in a boat though. It touts itself as using an electric engine once... More

In short form: 1. Change times because of lack of planning for when the sunsets in the summer and cannot be bothered to change the booking times on the website. Like changed by 1:15 when the tour is only that long to begin with. 2. Will go out when you have little chance of seeing much so that they can... More

The captain Jeff and our guide Mario were great. So glad that we went on a boat versus kayak. The night we went was packed with almost 10 kayak tours in the lagoon. They all struggled in the kayak. You go through mangroves which was cool. It took longer to go through because of all the kayaks. In the lagoon... More

Very bad and greedy people. We went there in mid May, called upfront to ask if we would be able to see the lights, answered yes but you can't see anything. One of the crew members told us that the cells were sick because of the heavy rain. So why would they still do trips? Because they are super greedy... More

Hello TangDou M: At Bio Island, we have strict ethical concerns when it comes to our passengers, our habitat and our overall tour quality. What it says on this review about our guides saying "cells being sick because of the heavy rain", is not true. Our guides are highly trained and have extensive knowledge when it comes to what they...
