We booked the Salty Dog snorkeling excursion for 5 people including my parents and our teenage son during our trip to Puerto Rico. It was the absolute highlight of our vacation. The crew was very welcoming and friendly. They did an excellent job making everyone on board feel comfortable and there was a full array of age groups. The snorkeling was great fun, a first time for our son, which he enjoyed. While everyone is out watching the fish swim, the crew was hard at work putting together a delicious lunch for all. Afterwards it was off to an island for some beach time. The water was heavenly and the sand was pristine. We had some rain on the return trip but the crew was quick to action to accommodate for it. Have I mentioned that the drinks start flowing the moment you step onboard and don't stop until disembarkation! I cannot stress enough how wonderful the crew was!

We booked this excursion for the last day of our family vacation and I’m so glad we did. We seriously couldn’t have had a better “last day,” that’s how great it was! The captain/crew were the friendliest group, providing great music, excellent food, and rare kindness/helpfulness to our kids (teens and a 2 year old). We had a dolphin swimming along with our boat on the ride back which was an unexpected treat! The owner of our rental had recommended another company, but it was booked up so we went with Salty Dog. I can’t imagine the other company providing a better experience than what we had so I’m glad it worked out the way it did...in fact, we are letting the owner know she should recommend Salty Dog as well!

I went with my husband on our honeymoon and we had an amazing time. The crew followed all the protocols for COVID while being very attentive at the same time. There was no shortage of drinks, and they were good! The crew was friendly, funny and played great music for us. We were running late and were worried we wouldn't make it but they waited for us and were very understanding. For $25 you can buy your own snorkel equipment and it's way nicer than what you could find in Walmart. I would definitely book with them again!

worst experience ever. Pre-booked boat trip in February for our trip to PR in May. My reservation was for 3 but I was also traveling with an infant who could not be added to the reservation (he was free- and if i added to the reservation would've been charged a full ticket) but there were instructions to call and provide that info, so we did. We drove 2 hours to the boat, we get there on time, pay the DNR fee, board the boat to than be told we need to get off the boat due to it being overbooked and too many people on. Our wedding party of 30 people had to get off the boat because of their mistake. Their were 4 infants additional- all reservations made separately and they stated they could not proceed with us on the boat. The lady who checked us in also made the smart remark "Well I guess we can not kick the babies off the boat and have them stay here all day, so you will all need to get off." interesting you say that because it was your mistake for not adding the information on to our booking after we called and advised there were infants in our party. Also, denying a refund to us. $300.00 and vacation time wasted. I would not recommend to anyone

Really happy we booked this trip. It was an easy checkin process (they also picked us up at our hotel in Rio Grande). The crew was extremely friendly and accommodating (while also being clear about the cost guard rules and safety they must follow). We sailed over to Icacos — an incredibly beautiful, small island. We first snorkeled - there were some decent reefs nearby and a good amount of fish. One of the other guys on the trip said he saw a moray eel. It was a good amount of time to snorkel and swim. Next we picked up anchor, sailed over and pulled up to the island so people could get some beach time. A lot of other boats there - we had a great time getting some sun. Also a good amount of time. Then we sailed back. All in all an incredible day if you love being out on the water / swimming / time on the beach.

Absolutely the best experience! Truly great for ALL ages and the only company on the island that allows infants on board!!! A huge plus for us as our Family is a group of 12 with a range of ages from 14 months old to 77 years young so that no one got left out due to age limits. The entire family said this was the best trip ever experienced! We did the afternoon to sunset private tour and it was absolutely beautiful. Traveling from the US I was at first a bit nervous but with other well deserved great reviews and a few initial phone conversations with the owner, helped me tremendously as she was an absolute joy to coordinate with! I felt 100% confident and comfortable with the booking transaction! Once we arrived to the dock the unloading passengers were all so very happy with their tour and said they had great time too and assured us that we would love our trip, that really spoke volumes to me before we even boarded. The catamaran was cleaned and disinfected before we boarded. Extremely friendly personable crew that made us feel so welcomed and meet all our needs and surpassed all our expectations. Salty Dog truly sets the bar high! Can't wait to return on another family vacation in the future. Great job Salty Dog! Thank you!

We had my abuela on board and they treated her like a queen. She loved it. They helped her off the catamaran and back on. And even danced with her! She was very thankful the staff was attentive to her while us “younger” folks were more adventurous.

The beginning was a bit disorganized, but once we got going it was great people, music and drinks/food.

Had a great time on the Catamaran, the crew was great and so were the destinations. The first Island we went to we were able to walk on and explore, sunbath swim and just generally hang out. rum and drinks pretty much flow freely on the whole trip. The lunch provided was great. The second island we snorkeled at and the views were fantastic! It was a great day overall. We also stayed in San Juan and they provided us with transportation to where the Catamaran was out for a reasonable fee. It was a great day of activities overall.

My husband, stepson (6 year old) and I went on a trip to Icaco with Salty Dog and it was excellent. The captain and the various young men on the trip were attentive and helpful throughout the trip. The catamaran was comfortable even with 30 people on board. Highly recommend!

There were a total of 10 of us, adults and teenagers and we ALL has a blast! The crew was great and lots of fun and the island we went to was beautiful. After a little time on the island we then moved and went snorkeling where we saw beautiful fish and then back on the boat for some fun on the way back to the dock. Communication prior was fantastic and everyone was so kind. I ordered special watermelon drinks and they made sure they went to the store to buy those, which I appreciated. I highly recommend them, watermelon soaked in Don Q Rum. That was fun!

This is the catamaran tour you want to go on! Thanks Crew!
