This beach is NOT closed. Apparently it just opened this week as our cruise was the first one for a long time. We weren’t allowed to walk out of the cruise port and get our own taxi, walk to town, etc. We had to take a taxi from inside the port if we wanted to leave the port area. It was $20 per person round trip, to get to Blue Waters. It was $10 per person to get onto the beach. The $10 included a lounge chair.
There was a DJ playing music, covered cabanas you could rent, and some natural shade. The cabanas were $80. They probably had umbrellas to rent but I don’t know the price for them. The beach had hand sanitizers, souvenir shop, food, showers, roped off swim area (only thigh high for adults who just went over/under). There were no waves to speak of. There was a lady selling jewelry from a table in the shade and 2 ladies offering massages. A waitress came by asking if we wanted anything (we didn’t). It was pretty idyllic except for the grass growing in the water. You walked through 3 or 4 feet in the beginning of the water that had washed up to shore. Then there was quite a bit of clear water (with some plants floating) and then grass again. You could tell where the grass was from shore by the dark water. I hated the feel of walking through it or touching me when I floated. I complained to our taxi driver and he said it was common for this time of year and he couldn’t take us to another beach cause they weren’t doing Covid precautions.
Learning that the beach just opened this week softened me up as they haven’t had maintenance and if the government is limiting where the cruise passengers can go.
Massages were offered at $50 for 30 minutes and Shaneen (?) was strong and did a great job of high pressure. She cranked on a few knots for me.

Short trip from Falmouth Pier. Water was shallow, but fine for cooling off and some snorkeling. If you want to swim...not your place. Beach was clean and plenty of chairs close to water. Bartenders (especially Allain) did a great job of keeping a drink in our hand and having us step out and try something new. Food was simple but really good. The DJ needs some practice tying his presentation together but kept us entertained and engaged as much as we wanted to be. The massages were nice and very well priced. Would definitely do it again!!!

The staff were very friendly. The cabana rentals with chairs were 80 usd so a fair price I thought. Beer was cold and they can provide ice bucket. Water and beach were clear w a little sea weed. Beach was small but great for kids. No big waves. Not rocky.

We went to the beach as part of an all inclusive RC shore excursion, so we thought it would be a relaxing fun day! Wrong. My largest complaint was the overcrowded circumstances. We were lucky enough to snag a last few chairs, but the people who came later had to sit on the sand. It was literally wall-to-wall people. We asked a worker if it was always that crowded, and he said no. He told us that he had accidentally overbooked over 700 people when they usually had less than half that. There were only grassy spots left to stand in the water, as people crammed into the non-grassy spots in the water. This isn’t just seaweed, but grass growing in large areas that easily reach past your shins. Of course there was a long line for lunch and nowhere to sit. Bathroom toilets clogged up of course.I actually felt sorry for the people working there because they were so overwhelmed with the crowd. The people serving drinks were also way too busy to take care of everyone so you had to go to the bar and get you know if you wanted any. The food was OK, but we had nowhere to sit to eat it. I am not a picky person but I’m telling you this was a waste of money and I would never go back. I can’t believe that Royal Caribbean chose this as one of their shore excursions. When we got back to the ship, there was a long line of people complaining about this specific excursion. Some even yelling and demanding their money back. I suppose on a day that they are not crowded it might’ve been a different experience, but you still have to deal with the grass in the water. My advice is don’t do it. They may choose to overbook on your day too!

As far as playing in the sand and a quiet place for the kids to play, it was okay. We left the cruise ship expecting to go to Montego Bay. We ended up here. They charged us a fee for the transportation, then to get in, then a insane price for some food that wasn’t all that good. It was just disappointing. Beautiful area, clean beach, and some nice people though. Just don’t go too far west down the beach. There were some really shady people selling things from the other side of the fence.

Booked an excursion from a Royal Caribbean cruise. Waited almost an hour for the bus, the drive to the site was far from scenic, mostly trash lined streets. The staff was friendly, which was the only bright spot. The water was not clear or blue, lots of sand/sediment and seaweed. The beach was over booked. Long lines for drinks and subpar liquor. Would not recommend.

Friends
Our group of 37 friends just returned from a visit to Jamaica and Blue Waters Beach Club in Falmouth, Jamaica. I was the group organizer and was looking for something fun for this group of friends to enjoy. Out of her group, 31 people visited Blue Waters Beach Club. Those who chose other activities feel like they missed out on a great day based on the stories we shared after our visit.
I began doing research for something to do in the area several months in advance and kept coming back to this option. I have been to Jamaica several times and wanted my friends to feel like they experienced the beauty of Jamaica and to meet some of the special people who call Jamaica home. The problem with the port of Falmouth is that most of the "activities" are either in Ochos Rios (1 1/2 hours away) or Montego Bay (45 minutes away). We wanted something close.
Blue Waters was just 10 minutes away from the pier. I contacted them directly, even though Royal Caribbean offered the same excursion to visit Blue Waters. I usually try to support a local business when visiting a port. Both RCCL and Blue Waters offered the same excursion, an all inclusive drink and lunch package, for the same price. However, booking directly with Blue Waters, we were offered a different option for those not wanting an all inclusive drink package for a much lower price. Not everyone in our group are big drinkers. Also, we had the option of reserving cabanas so we would have guaranteed shade for those who wanted it, also at a reasonable price. And we were supporting locals.
My communication with Yanisha was excellent. She was so easy to communicate with by answering my emails quickly and clearly describing our options. We had a trust factor so no money was exchanged until the day of the tour. We were given clear, specific instructions on where to meet our transportation (bus) on the pier. We were greeted at the resort like we were old friends or family. We were given wrist bands and were shown to our cabanas. Extra chairs were added for the sun worshipers in our group and the fun began.
The water was beautiful and so BLUE. There was a DJ playing great music and he got people involved, if they wanted to, by doing line dances and playing musical chairs. It was a party. The Red stripe beers were cold and numerous and the frozen drinks both tasty and pretty. Lunch was included - jerk chicken and side dishes - yummy!
It was such a fun, relaxing and beautiful day with friends - those we brought with us and the ones we met there. It just worked out that we stayed about 30 minutes or so longer than the other ship people. We enjoyed this slice of paradise all by ourselves which was special.
I learned while there that Yanisha and her husband, Junior, run the place and I was proud to support these entrepreneurs who saw a need for tourists and filled the need in a big way. I will definitely go back and so do my friends. Oh, what a day.

Visited as a Royal Caribbean shore excursion. While the beach itself was very pretty--white sand, turquoise blue water!--the facilities were a little rough (a lot of it looked unfinished), and the attitude of most of the staff was less than friendly. While we were hanging out on our lounges we were frequently approached and pushed to purchase jewelry, hair braids (twice) and massages (twice). When we said no thanks, we got sulky or sullen attitude back. It really killed the friendly/relaxing vibe we'd been hoping for.
Food was pretty good (jerk chicken was especially yummy), and live music during lunch was fun.
Also, this was definitely more of a party atmosphere than a relaxing lounge-at-the-beach one. Lots of loud music and big crowds. Fun, but not a good spot to read a book, nap in the sun, or listen to the waves, so keep that in mind when booking.
Overall, while the beach itself was pretty I wouldn't go back or recommend it to a friend.

Do you remember the non-meat food options? Thanks

We didn’t eat while we were there. They did have food that was being made though.
Jackie, Is Blue Waters an all-inclusive, or can we pay a fee to get in and buy ala carte? We do not drink alcohol so we do not want to pay an all-inclusive price. Also, do they have American food like hamburgers and hot dogs, or is it all Jamaican style food? We are plain eaters. Any info would be appreciated.

I'm pretty sure that you can do a non-inclusive option. If you read my review from March 2019 you see that we did the all-inclusive option but I mentioned those without the AI option. The food was good but for the life of me I cannot remember what it was - my picky 6 year old liked it, though, so there must have been enough plain American-style food! :-)

I see the Royal Caribbean excursion says it includes food and drinks but for drinks it says beer and frozen drinks. Does that include just regular mixed drinks as well?

I didn't have that package but what I saw there were a lot of frozen drinks, so I assumed that is the only thing provided with the package.

In your review about Blue Water Beach in Jamaica you mention that royal Caribbean transport is always available. If we don't book an excursion but just want to pay royal Caribbean transport to drive us to the beach and pick us up...is that an option?

you can't get on blue water beach without paying for an excursion ....now it doesn't have to be with with royal caribbean.... you can book any excursion with a company called Shore Excursioner ....however you can not use royal Caribbean transportation if you don't pay for their excursion

I would like to know what the cost is. Do you have a price list? I saw there was a food and beverage Package? Do you have pictures of the Cabana's and what do they come with? We are planning to visit in March 2019.
Thanks You

Taxi is $20 from cruise port (driver is paid after he brings you back to cruise port) and entrance is $10 per person which includes a beach lounger. Food and drinks are available and clean rest rooms. Taxi driver will give you his name and resort will contact him for pickup. Also small gift shop has all the Jerk spices to bring home.
What is the entry fee for locals?

Locals pay J$700 per person which includes a beach chair.
Is there any attraction there for children?
What sort of entertainment do you have?

The main attraction is the beach and water itself.
Entertainment was The host (Smurf) and staff with DJ and dancing. At lunch there was a really enjoyable singer singing caribbean music.
