Falmouth is a small town filled with lots of rich history. When a cruise ship is in port, you can find the courthouse open and available to take a peek inside. The building is in great considering the elements it has withstood over the years.

Falmouth itself was a little underwhelming. The massive new cruise port area probably comes alive on ship days but there is little happening when a ship is not in dock. It is worth a wander round to look at some of the old buildings if you are in the area and people were friendly - it at least gives you an idea of local life. Parking is easy and free on the streets

This is a lovely building to few from the outside. It is actually used as a court so you cannot actually get inside the actual building, so we found out.

A quick trip to historic Falmouth. There was not a ship in, so most of the shops and town was quiet. We did see the beautiful Falmouth Court House and love it historic value!

Very old building, that has survived the weather and an inside fire, but is still there. Interesting with the very thick limestone walls that keep the building cool without A/C.

5 things you will find in every colonial Caribbean sea port, especially a British one, port, central square, market, church and courthouse. As the earlier writer has said it is very British in its Georgian style; however, its decoration is all Caribbean. It is very close to the port exit and can be easily reached away from the aggressive sales people.

Anyways it is the most substantial building on the island, even though the church has outlasted it. Still it gets your attention and lets you know it is an important community building. Also there is a beautiful park with monument to those from Falmouth who served in WWII in front of the courthouse that is nice to see as well.

This structure is one of the most important structures in Falmouth and is only a short walk from the cruise port fence line. It was built in 1817 in the Georgian Style. Fire destroyed it in 1929 and it was rebuilt inky 1930. It has a grand staircase and portico. Today it is used for civil and legal use. There are historic postings outside to the left describing the history of the building.
