Although I am biased, owning an Austin-Healey, and therefore obviously interested in the marque, this is a compact, but interesting museum covering the tumultuous years of Donald Healey's automotive creations. The difference is made by the friendly and knowledgeable staff, who took time to give information and anecdotes relating to the exhibited cars. There are some really unique vehicles on show.

The way this museum is set up gives a very interesting insight in a rather underestimated car brand. A visit makes you realize which a great man Donald Healey was and to which realizations his team made. Going from boats to race cars, they did it all. What is nice to see is the international community the Healey Museum is. Donations from all over the world show the spirit of the cars owners. What is heartwarming is the personal approach of the initiator of the museum who shows that collecting with passion and showing it with pride to the visitors can be great fun! Well done and a clear must visit if you are a bit into cars!

If you are interested in Healey, Nash Healey and Austin Healey marques, this is the place to go for a very interesting visit if you are in the area around Vreeland, Netherlands. My second visit since October 2016 was on April 29, 2023, and it is clear the Museum has evolved, some of the collection have cycled out but new cars have taken their place. I was able to travel from Rotterdam to Breuklen, the closest station using the Sprinter fast rail from Rotterdam Centraal Station, from there it is a short ride to the Museum at Vreeland. It is also close to Schipol and Amsterdam, you can fit it in coming out of Schipol or returning if you have a car hire. If I have a chance to return, I will definitely do so.

I went to this museum with my Finnish car brochure collector friend Timo and we were pleasantly welcomed by the founder of the museum mr. Hans van de Kerkhof. It was our first visit to this museum which is the only one of its kind featuring Austin Healey cars only. They even have most of the factory archives and also a number of prototypes on display which are only to be seen here. Mr. van de Kerkhof was so kind to not just tell about the cars but also took out a number of ordners with original car brochures on the various Healey models which of course was a bonus for us as car brochure collectors. The museum not only shows about 20 actual cars but also has a huge number of Healey miniature models and lots of other memorabilia about the cars and the founder of the make. They also spent a lot of money on restoring an English movie about the history of Donald Healey and this was shown in a separate cinema and this story on his life was very interesting and informative. The museum is not very big but it lies in a nice area alongside the river Vecht and it makes a lovely day trip. Be sure to stop by when you as a car lover are in the area.

We took a group of 48 people to the Healey Museum which opened especially for our large group and provided a delicious lunch and talk from Hans van der Kerkof which was excellent. The museum has been created by Healey enthusiasts and is a must for anyone with an interest in the Austin Healey marque. Although small it is perfectly formed and run by enthusiasts for enthusiasts. There are a small selection of prototype and interesting models, a 10 seat cinema and huge archive to preserve the marque for future generations. Would recommend to anyone - wonderful

Four members of the Austin Healey Owner's Association of British Columbia visited the museum on September 18, 2016, at the end of our tour of Canadian War Memorials in France, Belgium and the Netherlands.

Our hosts were Hans and Ria Van de Kerkhof. In British Columbia,we are used to seeing Austin-Healey cars, so it was sensory overload to see many Healey models as well as Austin Healey Models. This included a Silverstone, and other models that preceded the Austin Healey 100. There is also much of the Healey Company records, a model display, Donald Healey's personal car and one of the four Rolls-Healey cars. Unfortunately, the Nash Healey in the collection was not there, so we missed seeing that car,but there is a significant number of interesting cars to see. Many items are in the collection that came from Donald and Geoff Healey's personal mementos, and a small theatre is there to view period video. And, Ria would want you to know that there is a very nice collection of regalia and other collectibles that will tempt you for things to take home as mementos.

We arrived at the Museum by car, having driven from Appeldoorn, and for Canadians, our GPS was bang on as it directed us right to the Museum, which takes a little time once you leave the motorway. The Museum is about 20 minutes by car from Schiphol airport, so it is actually very convenient. Be aware that once you arrive at the address, there is an electric gate that opens to let you drive on the property, park your car and enter the museum.

Again, if you are interested in Healey and Austin Healey cars, do not pass the opportunity by to visit.

This is a really interesting small museum with a great collection of cars and other memorabilia. The owner, Hans, is a very friendly man who speaks fluent English and will tailor his presentation to the level of interest of the visitor. He has some unique vehicles and they are arranged to show the development of the marque.
The museum also highlights the brilliance of Donald Healey.
The visit was an unforgettable experience and I am not a car enthusiast.

We visited the Healey Museum a coupe of weeks ago with our Dutch friends who are also Healey owners. We had travelled to Holland in our MK 1 Frogeye and the museum was the first on our list of things we "must do" after leaving the ferry terminal. The welcome we received was both warm and enthusiastic. The lovely café provided a welcome cup of tea, and the accompanying biscuits were delightful. Hans van de Kerkhof, who is the owner and chairman of the museum gave over the best part of his afternoon to talk us through the cars and amazing artefacts on display. His knowledge, enthusiasm and passion are infectious, and we were treated like VIP's. We even were shown behind the scenes, dozens of original files of drawings and priceless memorabilia and history. Our afternoon was rounded off with 30 minutes in the cinema watching footage of the Healey maritime adventures, and of Hans and his amazing racing exploits. We came away with dozens of photographs, copies of two unique Healey drawings, some gifts from the museum shop, and lots of unforgettable memories. This was undoubtedly the most passionate presentation of an amazing museum, and Hans is to be congratulated for producing the best museum we have ever visited.
