First, we look at the site the day before. It is indicated that the first Check-out at the Marina is at 9am. So we arrive at 8:30/45 but there Cabin only opens at 9:25. The person is not very welcoming. Check-out happens to be after 9:30. This leads to additional parking costs... It doesn't necessarily matter but it would be a matter of updating the site.
On board, the person starts without having checked the security barriers (just a catch point). It's easy to close, but I think a check is necessary and normal in terms of security.
The ticket is stamped on 14/07 while we take the train on 24/07... We had some reproaches on the return but we can not help it... At least we could have had fireworks!

Basically just a ride up the hill to avoid an admittedly quite hard walk. Bit of commentary on the way up, nothing on return.
Very hard to get a place, mostly pre booked by coach tours. You can end up standing around for a very long time. Staff , such as are there, are universally unhelpful and frankly rude. No one around to organise boarding or queuing.
Left a similar review on Google, business response was the “couldn’t care less” emoji. Says it all really about them.

Organizing and keeping a simple timetable are not on the short list of competences of the people running the little train. Add to that a certain rudeness and lack of knowledge of the few basic words in English that would be needed to work at a tourist site in a town that gets its major income from tourists - you start to wonder how these people got their job. Anyway that is a picture of the confusion and uncertainty you see among the tourists who are paying for the show. That said, the trip to the top of the mountain is worthwhile your time.

Hello everyone, this little comment so that you do not miss this little tourist train, a beautiful walk, paradisiacal landscapes, you even have vocal explanations about what you discover as you go along your walk. This small train allows you to climb to the upper town, medieval city, with its typical streets, shops, magnificent viewpoints overlooking the sea and cliffs and those that open your eyes to Sardinia, NOT TO MENTION THE CITADELLE, a true millennial architectural jewel. I stayed from June 14 to June 25 with my wife, we took this little train 3 times. Congratulations to the whole team, the drivers, with a little crush for the cashier who takes care of the ticket office is really very friendly, even when there are people, that some tourists express their impatience, he remains smiling, calm, polite, professional, he gave us good tips for our stay in Bonifacio, sites to visit, walks to do, beaches to know... We feel his attachment and his love for Bonifacio when he tells you about it, a character that deserves to be known, unfortunately it is not always possible because there are often many people at the ticket office that he is in charge. Only 6 euros per person return, do not deprive yourself

Great for avoiding the market to the upper town on foot.
2 trains run back and forth, but are always crowded. €6 return per adult to be paid at the port only.
The explanations about the city's monuments were friendly and informative.
We were with a stroller that we folded and put in the compartment at the back of the wagons.

This train doesn’t make any sense at all. You can’t buy a one way ticket- only return (€6). The stupidest thing is that it starts at the bottom by the port and goes up the hill to the old town turning around in the main car park. But it doesn’t stop to let people get off in the car park! So if you parked there and walked down to the harbour you have to pass by your car on the train, and can only get off in town and walk back. Crazy. We even tried to get a taxi back from a harbourside restaurant to the car park but were told nobody would do the ride. This system needs to be reviewed.

This little train is a wonderful service that saves you from going to a parking lot at the top of the city and allows you to see the port in a different way when you are on this very nice little train with interesting comments during this 10 / 15 minute journey..
Taking this train is a moment of relaxation. Once you get to the top of town you have returns every 30 minutes. For a few euros do not deprive yourself of it!
The staff at the caisse are lovely and helpful. Thank you to the team that allowed us to use this service 3 times for the visit of Bonifacio.

Despite all the negative evaluations that I have read, I absolutely do not agree (and that is rare)!
Very friendly counter staff, we joked for a few minutes.
The train takes you to the top of the citadel. You can go down to visit the place, eat, go shopping...
He comes back every hour to pick you up and take you back to the port.
So yes it's 6 euros / person but it's not 50 euros either.
For the complainers, next time you will go up on foot.
Explanations about the city and suitable monuments.
It is also not an excursion train but an improved and friendly shuttle for the whole family...

Deplorable organization that privileges groups over individuals as they say. Vulgar taxi very expensive for 5 min journey. And a priori between group and individual, it is not the same circuit. It would simply be enough to make different stops between group and individual. And above all to indicate on the train the type of passenger likely to take.

The team of this little tourist train is very friendly, a good welcome and support from start to finish, well done to them. Commentary in French and English. Very pretty landscapes to discover and a stop in the citadel. A small train approximately every 30 minutes. If you go to Bonifacio, don't miss it. Happy Holidays to all.
