Hunewihr is just magical - and more of its history and the story of Sainte Hune should be shared. Sainte Hune turned the water to wine. If you go to Hunewihr, go to the Sipp-Mack winery and ask the owners about the history of the fountain, the church and the nearby castle ruins - they have been in that area for 10 generations!

Beautiful medieval source and washing place from 1324, just outside the village (several photos on TA mistakenly show an 18th century fountain in the village). Partly covered. The picnic tables are practical, but detract from the authentic atmosphere. Near the fortified church between the vineyards.

Beautiful example of old city fountain with two drinking baths cut out of stone. The whole construction has been decorated with flowers that were blooming
