We hadn't been back to the Cascada Blanca in over an year, and since they've been under new management, but today we went to have some Spring Break fun and had a wonderful day due to the updated installations. The park now offers extensive parking,...More

There are signs warning you about how slippery the rocks are, but the are REALLY slippery. Wear tennis shoes - no chanclas on this trip! I didn't go swimming but we walked about the waterfall. It's definitely worth the trip!!

Great photos, great hikes, great swimming, great food, and more! Why are you not here already?!? The waterfall is beautiful. You can have a picnic under the falls in a huge cave carved into the rock!

A really pretty sight, definitely worth seeing if you're in the area, but if you're an adventure seeker - it's very built up and doesn't have a hike to get to it, just a couple dozen stairs.

Not far from town, this is a beautiful waterfall. I gave it a 4 because it was priced well, they had security for parking, and the place was empty! We had it all to ourselves. If swimming were "allowed" I would have ranked it a...More

There isn't that much to do in Matagalpa so most people come out here. The waterfall itself is nice enough though not amazing. However the whole setup is poor. You cannot swim in the pool below the waterfall as it is deep (and most Nicaraguans...More

One of the easiest to get to waterfalls. Right on the main road, pay a reasonable entrance fee then it's a quick hike down the path. The falls were refreshing on a warm day! You can walk behind the falls and apparently can camp in...More
