A great journey through nature in a beautiful forest, you can see the Quetzal which is the national bird of Guatemala. It has parking, bathrooms, camping site, a place to grill and pozas to swim.

We loved the walk in the park, quite noisy sometimes from the road, we did not see any quetzal, we loved the swim at the end of the walk

A worth seeing place. Nice walk in the nature. You can ear the birds singing and nice trail to walk. I didn’t have the opportunity to watch the Quetzal but still worth my trip

I went in search of the elusive national bird of Guatemala, but in the end I was just happy to learn about the reserve and the work they do to preserve habitat for the birds. I did see a male from a distance.

Great trail walk around the park and couple of water fountains. There two trails short one and long one. I took short one and it took me 2 hours . And I was able to see to quetzal on trail walk.

You have to be lucky and have a good eye.Nice walk through the biotope to try to see the famous bird, but very complicated to find it. Otherwise, a very beautiful place where you are in contact with nature.

This place is a great insight of the environment where the beautiful Quetzal bird lives. The staff is very friendly as well and the facilities in good condition.
