We did a full day tour with this company today. So well organized and very thing went easily throughout the day. Lunch was ok, not quite what I was expecting but not bad. Staff so helpful and the scenery beautiful.

Booked this trip through my accommodation in Khao Lak for 2000 bt. Well organised and at times very regimented. The Fantastic tour has it's own pier and large departure zone with a basic breakfast provided before departure. Toilets and showers available. Flippers mask and snorkel provided but suggest that you clean these yourself before using. Our guide Gaga one of the ladyboy regulars was strident and bossy. Gave directions for the tour but not much information about the Similan islands environment. Around 45 people squeezed into a large speedboat for the 90 min trip to the first island. Astounded by the huge numbers of other boats and thousands of tourists descending into the island of the national Park. Huge numbers of Chinese. There seems to be no limits on numbers. This creates a bottleneck with the boats trying to come into shore to let passengers off. Yes the water is crystal clear and the beaches white but the noise of others detracting from the natural beauty. Not to mention that the environmental cost of all that fuel, plastic food and drink containers etc. The snorkeling is nothing special (for this Australian). There was no safety oversight on the boat although life jackets are provided most people didn't put them on. Some of the Chinese couldn't swim but were nonetheless putting very young children into the water to take selfies. Totally appalling and dangerous. Whilst I was part of this mass tourism I would not do this trip in hindsight. The environmental costs are high and the government of Thailand should do everything to preserve the nature.

A once in a lifetime experience, we have never seen anything like it. Everything was professionally organised from pick up, catering, speed boat transportation, staff knowledge etc. Gaga made the day extremely entertaining and we had the best time. The recommendation was to get up to the viewpoint early and because of this we had uninterrupted views! Would highly recommend you go to Similan Islands if in Khao Lak as the view is second to none!!!! If you do make it, go with Fantastic Travel and you wont be disappointed.

We booked the Similan Island tour in Patong Beach area through Fantastic Tours..they were very accomodating and patient as i had relatives from Canada who had gluten intolerance and they checked if they could provide gluten free as well as vegetarian meals. The driver from Fantastic picked us at the given time of 6.30am and we drove for 2.5 hrs to Phang Nga..and on arrival we were split into groups such as green..white ..etc..We had to sign disclaimer forms etc..collected snorkelling gears and had a good bfast that was provided for us. A briefing on the do and dont's especially leaving rubbish and picking corals were explained and their penalties as well. We then took a 1.5 hrs speedboat ride to the first of Similan islands... the water was crystal clear and the color of the sea ranged from light blue to turquoise. We snorkeled at 2 island visited another 2 and proceeded to have lunch at the last island. Free time was given to explore the islands ...we made the trip back to jetty with a simple tea-break waiting for us. The good thing about Fantastic was the groups were smaller..sea sick tablets were provided...there was was free flow of soft drink s and water provided throughout.. The islands are pristine and crystal clear and are closed to tourists from May to Nov...go visit them..it's like and item off the bucket list!!!

We went to the Similan Islands on New Years day. We had read bad reviews about overcrowding but we were pleasantly surprised. Everything was well organised and not overly busy. Depending on what your tour operator pays for will decide whether you get beach gear thrown in and different meal options. We must have chosen well as we got given good meal option in a Tiffin set. Had a great day and the guide was entertaining. All staff were good on the fantastic no.5 speedboat we were on.Thank you Fantastic Tours.
