It is a wonderful experience to go bathing with the 11 month old baby elephant Boon Nahm. His mother Jintala also enjoys having friendly tourists around feeding her bananas. The camp owners love elephants and made this camp one of the most beautiful camps in South Thailand.
The local people of Bo Saen are happy to have this camp nearby and often come to see the majestic mama and the lovely baby. Real elephant lovers may also go riding with Jintala, directly on her neck, for 5 to 30 minutes free of extra charge.
Entry charge to the camp is 300 Baht, bananas for feeding cost 50 Baht per bunch. Outside food is not accepted for hygienic reasons.
The Tao Thong Waterfall is just next to the Baby Elephant Camp. Sometimes monkeys come down from the Karst mountains to enjoy the water.
