Very unique idea of drawing Buddha with Gold. Its very huge and very attractive. It is visible from far away around 3KMs too. Have a look with binoculars, which will give you a better look of Buddha. You can take good pictures here. Garden is nearby to take some rest if you are tired. Entry is free of cost. So... More

I found this place by accident when the taxi from Pattaya took me back to Sattahip Naval station. Its located near an area where it seems to be developing steadily as the years go by. It seems to have a euro style condos and rest stop on the road along to the buddha. The Image of Buddha is a commemoration... More

We visited this site with family and were impressed with the buddha image. There is a (very) small park, and the fruit smoothies were excellent. We also saw many buses with Chinese tourists.

Buddha Mountain is a must see venue. The history behind it is as interesting as it is beautiful. As soon as you enter the serene gardens at the foot of the mountain, you immediate feel the spiritual connection that many visiting Buddhist feel. Being so note worthy, as you would expect it is extremely popular with the site seers and... More

I was told that the mountain had been used to mine stones for construction projects until the day when his Majesty King Bhumibol traveled through the area and suggested to use the mined part for a Buddha image. It is a very unique outline of the sitting Buddha, created with laser technology and inlaid gold leaf, with a height of... More

This sounds a little bit like a tourist trap however it is actually very impressive and one of the most unique Buddha displays in Thailand. It is only about a 20 minute drive south from Pattaya. Very well marked and good parking. When we were there it was filled with bus loads of Chinese tourists a, which wasn't the greatest... More
