Boonsiri Ferry service from Trat to Koh Kood
Mar 2021
Update March 2021.

Travelling in these times is a pleasure, as there are not many people travelling(currently only Domestic travellers) but also full of challenges with irregular schedules due to the low numbers. I was concerned that mid-week may have been a problem with the ferry to Koh Kood but pleased to report that they are, currently, running a full service of 2 ferries per day between the Laem Sok Pier and Ao Salad on Koh Kood.

Ferries depart Laem Sok Pier at 10:45 and 14:20 with return times of 09:00 & 12:00. The current cost is THB.500 per person/per direction.

Our GPS did take us to the old pier but it is just a few minutes from the new one. Use the Boonsiri co-ordinates to avoid this!

Their facility is good and well organised. Adequate car parking(they also have additional lots) and well organised check in. Reception staff were excellent and spoke good English. I am not certain if the other ferries offer the same service but with the Boonsiri you have door to door service. When you check-in they ask you for your accommodation and on arrival at Ao Salad, passenger pick-up trucks will be waiting to take you. This is the same on the return and both worked perfectly.

There is a good café serving a variety of food and the coffee is not so bad. Restroom facilities are clean.

They supply a people mover to take the passengers out along the long pier. The vessel itself is modern and comfortable with both air-conditioned seating inside and plenty of space to sit outside. Journey time is approx. 1 hour.

Horrible trip and custom service

Never again!!!
I booked trip to Bangkok from koh Chang and yes they come pick up me on time 11:00 am, at pier I was 11:30, what was my surprise I wait 1,5 h for boat (yeah in the hottest moment of the day) at 1:00 ferry took me to mainland WHERE I WAS WAITING ANOTHER HOUR only because they want make money on crappy restaurant where you waiting. Bus come at 3:00, staff not wear masks also half of customers... bus was dirty and in my head was only scared if I’m safe here, I doubt... after message company on fb driver and worker start wearing masks and explanation to me for waiting 2,5h without reason was that I was only one from koh Chang-and what? What this change? If I’m only one it’s mean you can don’t care? I will highly recommend choose different company I will make sure to any of my friends from island not use it or my customers... this is moment for taking care of your clients not making them feel cheated, by spending more money for transport which is longer and more uncomfortable than public transportation...

We extended our stay in Koh Kood and tried to change our ferry tickets. Boonsiri refused and took our money, despite the fact that their boat is empty these days. Take Koh Kood Express instead. Nicer, cleaner boat, cheaper than Boonsiri, and they have free coffee.

Integrated Travel Exactly as Advertised
Nov 2019
My wife and I booked the combined travel ticket from Khaosan Road in Bangkok to our hotel in Koh Kut. We booked the trip online before we left. It was so easy and incredibly cheap. The trip unfolded just as described. The big comfortable bus left on time at 5:00 am from Khaosan Road for the long journey down Leam Sok pier. We then transferred to a comfortable and air conditioned ferry to Koh Kut without a long wait. Once on Koh Kut, we were promptly transferred to our hotel. It doesn't get any easier than this. Would definitely use them again.

Just a ferry
Feb 2020
Not too much to say. Good service. Gets you on Koh Kut in 1.5 hours. Not a luxury ship, just what you need, a boat to take you where you need to go.

No highspeed catermaran!!!
Jan 2020
It was presenting like trip from bangkok to koh chang vis high speed catermaran

But!!! You will drive from bangkok 5,5hours by bus( clean and good condition) and than in trat you will go on normal ferry( very old traject) you over pay everything by double price than you will book it by yourself. Dont happy with that because we didnt see that catermaran because of what we choose boonsiri

Bus trip horrible
Nov 2019 • Couples
The ferry was greit but the bus ride from center point pier to Khao San was HORRIBLE, when you come in and take a seat you will find all the trash from the ride before all over. There is no bin anywhere and the toilet stinks so bad that is difficult to breathe. This trip is 5 h. This is really a bad service.
