I booked a 2 night Yala Safari package through the 'Yala Safari Holidays' website which is linked to this trip advisor page. I assumed from their website and email communications that they run the camp so when we ended up at Ruhunu Safari Camp, I...More

The rafting was amazing on the river. You will get a good feel for nature and the river's anger and calmness at the same time. I definitely recommend this place and activity + the food is just amazing.

Though we did three visits there were only two sightings of leopard and one bear. There were plenty of crocodiles deer and birds. As it was the rainy season the park was lush green and all the waterways and tanks were full and picturesque

We stayed for one night at yala safari holidays. We did an evening safari and then a morning safari the following day. Our guide was great and friendly, as were all other staff at the camp site. Food was amazing, we were giving lunch, dinner...More

Plenty of people already commented. This review is not regarding any particular operator, just the experience in general. The place is terribly organized: too many jeeps chasing too few animals. Park would be much better if tourists were assembled in fewer vehicles and the animals...More

Myself and three friends booked onto a half day safari drive at Yala National park. Having done a safari in Kenya (on the Masai Mara) I probably had unrealistic expectations going into this experience. Whilst the safaris in Africa involved roaming open plains for miles,...More

We did two safari trips. One late in day and one early. Because there are so many jeeps you eat dust from the jeeps in front. For hour after hour. We saw a good number of animals. Many elephants. One leopard. Lots of birds. Really...More

Setting off from our hotel at 5.30 in the morning, a bit late I'd say. We arrived at Yala National Park about an hour later. We waited for our drivers to pay for our tickets. It is 9000 Rs/ $60 per person. We were very...More

What a morning we had, out of bed by 5am, on the bus to Yala National Park, then at 6am into the jeeps for a bumpy, chaotic chase around the dusty roads looking for the elusive leopard. Yes, we saw a few peacocks and some...More
