The blue lagoon and cave was a fun way to spend an afternoon and cool off in hot weather because we knew what to expect...but it is not a serene, natural, nature trip. COST: From memory the toll bridge from town will cost 5,000 kip per person in the tuk tuk, the tuk tuk will cost 15,000 to take you... More

Overrated. Packed with Koreans and it was not more than a pool with a tree. My advise is to go to the caves.

Artificial 'lagoon' full of bars and paid rides. Too packed and not really a great place to relax. Plenty of other nicer places to visit.

Stopped by here on our way back from Blue Lagoon 3. Thank goodness we went there first as the blue lagoon was very poor. Incredibly busy, small and not a nice place to even relax. Very popular with mass crowds of Asian tourists. Possibly if you went early in the morning it might be ok. Did not do caves so... More

Especially if you are lokking for adventure, clean landscape, relaxing - don't go there. The Village without charme, only to satisfy young travellers who want to party doesn't give more. Instead of vang vieng there are a lot of more interesting cities in lao, such as luang prabang! We had benn in vang vieng for 2 nights and it was... More

We went zip lining at the blue lagoon and it was one of the highlights of our trip in Laos! It was such a great adrenaline rush and the views were incredible. We spent an hour or so at the blue lagoon. It was pretty crowded, but we had fun relaxing in the lagoon and jumping from the trees!

This place is a conundrum. My score would be 1 or 2 but my 17 year old daughter's score would be 4 or 5. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. I didn't read any review as it was part of a tour of four places. I expected a beautiful bug lagoon with sailing boats and beach. That it... More

I visited this place and I was only here for less then an hour. The cave is interesting to see but it's a difficult walk to get to. The lagoon however is awful, it's over crowded and smells really bad. It was far to dirty to swim in. The whole place really wasn't worth visiting in my opinion.
