I discovered Sigri Surf and Sigri last year - and did discover a little paradise spot for me (since then I ve spent 16 weeks there ;)).
Not only the village, its people, the great landscape, the tavernes are marvellous - there is also a windsurf station with perfect conditions (wind was less than last year, but I guess all greek islands were affected), friendly staff, easy atmosphere. All in all a wonderful spot!

I stayed 3 weeks in Sigri (15.7.2015 - 5.8.2015) and had rented 2,5 Windsurfequipents for the whole time (2,5 = Wife, Son + me 12 board shared). A few days there was no wind - but that's weather). I booked to go there again on 21.8.2015 with my son for one more week. Marcel is a straight guy - and his instructurs made a good Job on us. Activities like having dinner together at different restaurants are building a big family and leaving is really hard. I like places which are not overcrowded therefore I very much hesitate to recommend it - so it stays the way it is :-) - nevertheless - I will go there again quite sure!

I have been visiting this place for the last 3 years. An excellent surfing centre for all windsurfers, beginers and advanced. Situated in one of the most windy places all over the Aegean-except for this summer, where there have been few northeastern winds (meltemi) on all greek islands. Ideal for high speeds and fun, as protected from the open sea and high waves by a wonderful nearby small island. When there is no wind one can paddle to it, to experience the best sunset ever, an ancient church, an old lighthouse and huge petrified tree trunks even underwater. Sigri Surf Center stuff is very friendly and well trained , the equipment is amongst the best in the country and the prices are much lower than the rest of Greece,
Nice environment for non-surfers also ! Be there again and again!!!

£225 for 3 hours supposedly kitesurfing tuition for my husband and 2 teenage boys. They were all already proficient power kiters but by the end of the 3 hours they had only covered the safety briefing! Not a kite in the air and certainly no surfing. We did complain whilst in Greece and told Neilson, but we were only offered another lesson, not much use when you can't take them up on it. Seriously annoyed.

- I booked and fully paid surf package (lessons+accomodation - single studio). Upon arriving sigrisurf told me that I booked a shared studio! Though My booking confirmation clearly stated “private single room”. They were pushing me to pay about 1/3 more as accomodated me in a bigger studio (they simply didn’t have a single studio for me) giving hundred reasons why it’s me who have to pay...
I wouldn’t reccomend to book an accomodation with them. Sigri is a tiny village with few tourists, you can easily get a room via locals upon arrival. This will be cheaper by the way.
+ Wsurf course is fine
- lots of sea urchins

We spent 11 days in the probably more quite spot we've ever been. The best is the crew, absolutely helpful and friendly, and the equipment (Tabu Gastra) like brand new. The wind is offshore, not my favorite, and therefore flat water. When the wind is strong you can sail all the way to the island but if not better to stay in the freestyle corner. Nice place where we come back for surf and relax.

The Surfcenter offers everything needed for nice wind-/kitesurf holidays at the beautifull village Sigri. Right at our arrival we have been kindly introduced to the center infrastructure and the team. It offers a lot of space to relax and free WiFi but more importantly newest kit in very good condition!
The beach in front of the center is not the biggest ever seen but still offers enough space to enter the large bay. Here one has plenty of space and different conditions - from flatwater to some surfable waves on very windy days!
Something we also liked is that unexperienced kitesurfers as well as learners are offered to kite in another bay with the help of the kite-instructors. Therefore only advanced kitesurfers share the bay with the windsurfers - avoiding trouble between windsurfers and kiters known at many other spots in Greece (and elsewhere).
The rigging-service offered by the team was very nice and helpful. Additionally we always got the right advices upon which sail to take. Lessons offered by the center seemed well organized and professional!
The owners also organize eating out and parties with everybody who likes to join. This even increased the friendly atmosphere at the center.
We will come again!

Had arranged a windsurf camp(and paid a deposit) but had told them that I would arrive 2 days later and they said no prob and that they expected more people arriving that day. However when I got there told me that I had missed 2 classes so could not participate plus they were all Germans so the class would be in german (never told me that). So I paid for rental but in that case if I knew I would have brought my own staff as I live in Athens. The owner and coordinator never introduced himself to me or apologised. Also they charge 75euros per day (incl. rescue)in order to kite surf there on that beach...

Spent 2 weeks in June at Sigri Surf Centre. Best spot ever for windsurfing, fantastic kit and sailing area. Thank you to Marcel, Martina, Sunny, Tessie and the boys for making our holiday special. Look forward to seeing you again in September.

Second year at Sigri and Sigri Surf.
Still perfect conditions, nice wind, very helpfull crew. In case of a few surfers, they give you useful tips.
Interessting, I did not see any refugees on our way to Sigri, even in Mytilini there were no one.
If you are searching for a litte nice greek village in a bay and perferct surf and kite conditions, go to Sigri.
