We had an incredible time doing some slot canyon repelling with Dan. Our party included my wife and two children (ages 10 & 13). Dan was patient and instructive with all of us. This was a completely unique and new experience for us. It truly made our visit to Zion special and unique. Very professional and well organized. Highly recommend.

We did a 2 week family vacation to several National Parks. Zion was my favorite and this was my favorite "extra" activity that we did. Our guide was Eric. He was patient with our kids, challenged us just the right amount, knowledgeable about the area, and generally an interesting and nice guy. We are a family of 5 - my... More

My husband and I booked the day adventure. We asked for as many repels as possible and to repel down into water. This company did not disappoint. They book for your group only, so my husband and I were the only 2 with our guide Matt. Matt made the experience great. He was knowledgeable about the area, pleasant as a... More

My wife and I and our 13-year-old son booked a half-day canyoneering trip with Red Desert Adventure. Our guide, Dan, showed up a few minutes early at Zion Pioneer Lodge to pick us up. He took us to an isolated slot canyon that looked like it was right out of a travel guide ... and we had it all to... More

This was our third Red Desert canyoneering trip in four years. Each has been faultless. We've been taken to three distinct areas with excellent, informative and friendly guiding. There is no hesitation in recommending Red Desert.

We consider ourselves a somewhat adventurous family. For example, we went white water rafting and ziplining in Costa Rica, waterfall jumping in Hawaii, hiking in Sedona, AZ and now Utah. This canyoneering trip was great fun. Eric was our guide and was fun and knowledgeable. I'm a bit claustrophobic and my husband isn't a fan of heights (yes, he did... More

My brother's family and mine went on a half-day repelling outing with Dan and Sara as our guides. The entire family found both our our guides super friendly and knowledgeable about both repelling as well as the general geography and history of the area. They were very patient with our kids (as young as 5), and managed our group of... More

Family traveling with 2 children- 9 and 12, first time cayoneering for us and we had the best time! Eric was our guide and he took us to an area not well known more exclusive. Excellent time cannot wait to do again!

Dan and Nathan took us through Birch Hollow and they were fantastic. We were a group of 8, the youngest 10 years old, and everyone felt very comfortable and confident going down even though it was the first time any of us had done this. We still can't figure out how Nathan managed to drop the car at the end... More

Eric was a great guide for our morning in the "Unnamed Canyon"! It was just the four of us and him, and he really made it a worthwhile morning. He took us to a place where we were totally secluded--a rarity around Zion! We didn't see anyone else the entire time. He was a fast hiker--wanting to get us to... More
