Our Best of Yosemite half-day tour with Cody was the best investment we made in our week in Yosemite. We specifically booked on our first full day in the area, so that our family of three could get a lay of the land. Getting picked up at Autocamp was great -- we were able to kick back and take in the scenery on the drive. Cody introduced us to several of the amazing highlights in Yosemite Valley, and even showed us a couple of "VIP" spots. It laid a great groundwork for helping us figure out what we wanted to explore over the rest of our trip. A healthful lunch in the El Cap meadow ended our leisurely paced and satisfying day. Cody was calm, compassionate, patient, and knowledgeable, and crafted an experience tailored to us. It was a great day and we can't wait to book with Wildland Trekking again. Worth every penny.

We booked a private half day tour with Wildland Trekking to hike Yosemite. Our guide, Kevin, was awesome. I appreciated that he flexed with what time was convenient for us. He did a great job of keeping us moving and telling us about the area. We got some great pictures. The tour could not have been better!

Our experience with Wildland Trekking was great. They sent detailed information about every aspect of the trip in the weeks prior to the trip. We were able to communicate with our guide a few days before arrival. A group of six over 60 women hiked in Olympic National Park for five days. We even felt like Wildland was able to control the weather. We were in Washington state for 5 days in June and we didn’t have any rain. Our guide, Eric, was very knowledgeable about the area, the trails we hiked and the plants and wildlife we saw during our hikes in addition to being kind, patient and lots of fun. He even joined in on one of our after dinner card games! The meals Eric planned, prepared, and served for lunch each day were delicious and nutritious. We had to make some changes in our original itinerary because of a fire on Hurricane Ridge but we had a wonderful hike every day. We did a lodge based trip. We returned to Lake Crescent Lodge every evening. The accommodations were nice, the bed was comfortable, and we had plenty of hot water, The food served at the lodge (included in tour costs) was excellent at breakfast and dinner. Wherever you are looking to explore check out Wildland Trekking for your next adventure. They are experienced, easy to work with and provide a wonderful experience

From start to finish, our trip exceeded expectations! Based on reviews here, I contacted Wildland and spoke with a very helpful consultant who asked a lot of questions and made great recommendations. Communications, from confirming our trip on, were clear and made sense. There was an early focus on learning about each person in our party (myself, husband and two children, 10 and 13). I was encouraged by the conversations about food at camp and another counselor answered last questions and helped us figure out how to manage luggage and travel. And then we met Wally, our guide for the trip! He was amazing. He was clearly passionate about the outdoors, super knowledgeable about the park (and others) and clearly working as hard as possible to make our trip amazing. My kids are not the most enthusiastic hikers but with Wally at the lead, they got into it and fell in love with bouldering, exploring and slot canyoning. I still am in awe of the meals he produced on the trail and in camp. I am copying them because they were delicious and also enticed my children to expand their limited menus (turns out my "vegetarian" daughter is more like a chocolate, bacon, carb-atarian;).

Wildland Trekking in Yosemite was way more responsive than any other guide company I called - that's why I chose you! Matt C was off the charts - great conversationalist, knowledge of area and history behind every rock was impressive and entertaining. He consistently displayed a willingness to help and was keenly aware of us as hikers without smothering us. Perfect mix. Prince of a guide!

We were supposed to take a snow shoe hike but unfortunately, there was little to no snow. We took a very long hike through the Mariposa Grove and thoroughly enjoyed it. The weather was perfect; blue skies and a mild 45 degrees. The scenery was breathtaking. The calmness and stillness was wonderful. We saw very few people along the way. Kevin, our guide was fabulous. Very knowledgeable about the history of Yosemite as well as the grove, the trees and the wildlife . We had a wonderful lunch in a beautiful spot where we could enjoy the surroundings. I would highly recommend Wildland Trekking to anyone, and would request Kevin again. He even talked to us about other places we could visit on our own during our short visit to Yosemite. Fabulous introduction to first time visitors to this amazing place.

My mom and I went on Wildland's Yosemite High Country Basecamp Tour in August 2023 and it was spectacular! My mom had gone on a Wildland trip before, loved it, and wanted to see what else they had to offer, and I was fully down to check out Yosemite with her.

Our guide, Austin, was kind, knowledgeable, and skilled, and I would gladly go on a trip with him again! He prepared us delicious food to keep us going and he was flexible about our itinerary based on the group's needs and the constraints of the park itself. His overall energy was patient and inclusive, and his humor and joy for the outdoors allowed him to lead with aplomb. We couldn't have had such a wonderful trip if not for Austin!

The snack and food options were tasty, varied, and cognizant of everyone's dietary needs and idiosyncrasies, which made it a comfortable trip in that regard.

The Wildland gear was in excellent condition and obviously well maintained. It was a really nice touch to bring real towels (although I had brought my camping towel, real towels were a small luxury!).

The campsite we stayed at just outside the park was very nice, with relatively clean facilities, a potable water source right at our site, a lovely lodge area, pretty river, and hot water in the showers.

The other folks on the trip were interesting and from different places and walks of life, and I wholeheartedly enjoyed their company and perspectives as we formed a little community for a few days.

I would heartily recommend a Wildland trip for anyone regardless of previous camping experience—there are so many types of trips that there is something for everyone!

Wildland's communication ahead of the trip to prepare us was fantastic. Once on the trip our guide Matt was absolutely great - perfectly balancing to listening to what we needed with what also we needed to get done on our 5 day trek. The food he put together was great as well - not easy to do on a long trek. I will definitely look forward to doing another trip with Wildland in the future. The only advice I have to everyone else is to double check your gear - we had a few small issues with holes in sleeping pads / tents but we were able to repair them on the trail.

You can’t get better than Wildland, they are flat-out the best. I’ve completed two trips with them and already booked a third. The guides make every adventure special, and they have the best food you’ve ever had on the trail. Our guide, Michael shared so much knowledge of the natural all around us. The website layouts out the trip and you know what to expect. With Wildland providing much of the gear, they keep your personal cost lower than other companies. Can’t wait to hike with them again.

Our group of 10 did 4 days hiking in Yosemite and stayed in the Airstreams at Autocamp and it was an exceptional experience. Michaela and Katie were our guides/hosts/handle our every need people and they were truly outstanding. As repeat hikers with Wildland we have high expectations and Katie and Michaela did not disappoint in any way and of course, if Yosemite is disapointing you probably need a serious check up. Stunning. No better word for it.
