We were lucky to escape the fire by a few days - I would try your best to get to Yosemite - it’s breathtaking - just keep an eye out for fires - I think the one which recently affected will be long gone

Why not do it yourself? IF the weather and moon phase is right, even the valley floor is fine. There are stargazing apps on the phone.
