Our family of 3 did a full day sightseeing tour in September 2019. Nicole was our guide and she was an absolute gem - she was friendly and knowledgeable and we loved listening to all her interesting stories! As it was our first visit to Yosemite this tour was absolutely perfect and took all the hard work and stress away - we told YSA what we were interested in seeing and they developed a suitable itinerary for us. Although the cost leans more on the expensive side (especially considering the low value of the Australian dollar when we visited) I still think it was so worth it and we would definitely use this tour provider again - my husband in particular said it was his favourite day by far in our 3 week vacation and he can’t wait to come back!

We thought about canceling our trip due to an early snow storm, but we are so glad we didn't! From snowshoeing to sledding, Adam did a wonderful job of thinking through locations and activities for everyone in our family (including my 2 and 4 year old boys and my mom). I would have never thought to visit Yosemite in the winter, but I'm so glad that our family was able to have this amazing experience together. Having Adam with us made all the difference. Our visit would have been much less fun (and much more stressful) had we not had Adam with us! Thank you for a wonderful day!!

Adam picked us up at eight in the morning. He took us to all these amazing places, explained a lot and was so nice with our kids. Is was an incredible experience for all of us, especially „El Cap“ was our favorite part and the wonderful dinner at the top of Sentinel Dome. At the end of the day our youngest one Martha told me: „I wish the day could start again.“ Thank you Adam for this awesome day!

Our family of 6, (including 4 children aged 6,9,9 and 11 ) chose to do the "choose your own adventure ful day tour", and we cannot reccommend it enough. We did debate it with the cost /exchange for our country - but this day was definetly one to remember. Our tour guide Nathan was the absolute best. The kids absolutely adored him, to the point they wanted him to some with us. He was so knowledgable, our son said he was a walking encylopedia. There is no way we would have seen / experienced so much in one day if we tried without him. We started by heading to Yosemite Valley/El captain, went caving, hiking up waterfalls, seen and climbed through giant sequoias, climbed sentiniel dome and so much more! He took everything in our stride and allowed us to explore as much as possible. The lunch and dinner was also such a nice touch.....bonus was seeing a bear grazing at his lesuire in the fields. Thank you so much Yosemite Family Adventures!

My son and I visited Yosemite National Park on October 11, 2019. My son is not quite 7 years old, but is quite the adventurer and is learning to love our national park system as much as I do. I am a native Californian, born and raised in Southern California and have visited Yosemite a number of times, mostly from the eastern Sierra over Tioga Pass. My son was born and has been raised in Arizona, so I wanted to give him the best overall experience for his first trip to Yosemite. This trip, we stayed in Oakhurst, which is the southern entrance into Yosemite by Mariposa Grove. I have never entered Yosemite from the southern entrance, but found YFA when searching Trip Advisor for a great tour operator in Western/Southern Yosemite. From the very start, YFA was just great! Ashley communicated with me and ensured that we tailored our customized adventure in the way I wanted my son and I to see the park on my son's first trip to Yosemite. YFA is based in Groveland, which is about an hour north of Oakhurst. Ashley had no problem arranging for guide to pick us up in Oakhurst and everything was set. We met our guide Nicole at 8:00 A.M. on the dot on October 11, 2019. Nicole was tremendous! Nicole connected with us very quickly as she is an avid adventurer and loves our national park system. Nicole had visited many, many national parks, including ones I want to visit with my son. She was great with my son and answered all his questions and was very engaging. The YFA vehicle was a new Chevy Suburban and was very nice vehicle to have for our Yosemite experience! We visited Mariposa Grove first and walked among the largest grove of Sequoias in Yosemite. We saw the Grizzly Giant. My son was simply in awe of how awesome these trees are. We visited early in the morning, so the air was crisp, cool, and very pleasant. The crowd was also very light. Next, we visited Inspiration Point, which I have visited a number of times in the past. It is still amazing to me after all these years. We went down into the valley, had a delicious lunch, and watched the climbers on El Cap. Awesome experience. We were in the meadow opposite El Cap and my son had a blast running around, climbing on trees, and making friends! Next, we went into the high country, which I am familiar with as you pass through it if you are coming into Yosemite from the eastern entrance. We visited Olmstead Point and climbed over all over the granite domes and rocks. Got truly awesome pictures. It is the point that you see Cloud's Rest and the back side of Half-Dome. Next we visited Tenaya Lake, which is an alpine lake fed by snow melt. Again, beautiful spot and great fun! Next we visited Tuolumne Meadows and Tuolumne River, which I have seen, but is still beautiful everytime I see it. We visited Soda Springs, the first meeting house of the Sierra Club, and played in the Tuolumne River. My son learned that getting you hiking shoes wet in an alpine river is not such a great idea! Finally, we hiked up to the top of Pothole Dome, had a great, great dinner beautifully prepared by Ashley from YFA, and saw the sunset over Tenaya Lake and Cathedral Peak. I cannot thank YFA enough for giving my son a fabulous first experience in Yosemite and reminding me how truly beautiful Yosemite is after more than 20 years having not visited the park. Ashley and the YFA family are fantastic people who really make this a great experience. I can say for a fact that we will come back and use YFA in the future. Finally, I cannot say enough about our guide Nicole. Nicole was just fabulous and YFA is lucky to have her as a guide. Without reservation, I highly recommend YFA if you really want the whole Yosemite experience!!!
