Yosemite Family Adventures is awesome! Davis is fantastic and provided the best experience. The entire day was full of fantastic experiences, hikes on less traveled routed to the beautiful waterfalls and well knows areas. We even had lunch in a flower covered meadow by 200+yr old barns built by German settlers! David is so knowledgeable, kind, funny, engaging and prepared. We felt comfortable and count him as a new friend. We will absolutely have David guide us again in Yosemite or any of the other parks in the country. You will be so glad you hired this company!!

Our family of 6, (including 4 children aged 6,9,9 and 11 ) chose to do the "choose your own adventure ful day tour", and we cannot reccommend it enough. We did debate it with the cost /exchange for our country - but this day was definetly one to remember.
Our tour guide Nathan was the absolute best. The kids absolutely adored him, to the point they wanted him to some with us.
He was so knowledgable, our son said he was a walking encylopedia.
There is no way we would have seen / experienced so much in one day if we tried without him.
We started by heading to Yosemite Valley/El captain, went caving, hiking up waterfalls, seen and climbed through giant sequoias, climbed sentiniel dome and so much more!
He took everything in our stride and allowed us to explore as much as possible.
The lunch and dinner was also such a nice touch.....bonus was seeing a bear grazing at his lesuire in the fields.
Thank you so much Yosemite Family Adventures!

My wife urged me to take a few days off and treat myself to some time on the water with a guide. Boy, am I glad I took her advise!
The folks at Yosemite Family Adventures were a pleasure!
Worked with David on the phone to clarify some details: friendly, responsive, very helpful.
Kevin, my guide: punctual, responsive to what I was looking to accomplish, wonderful in his way to impart knowledge and information, very friendly and gifted at making pleasant conversation, extremely dedicated to his craft and driven to make certain his clients catch fish...and we did !!
Would no doubt go to YFA again, and request Kevin's enthusiastic professionalism more specifically.

After booking and being canceled because of COVID last year. I tired to rebook this company. After months of trying to get through, they finally returned my call 4 months and a week before my flight to say they were booked and they would refund me. The refund was due 6/1/21 and we are back to phone tag and no refund.

Like Many others, this company have been terrible in response to the covid pandemic . We had booked and paid a deposit for a 3 day adventure for 2020. We had to cancel, for obvious reasons. Almost all of our other bookings gave us a full refund but not his company, They reached out to our good nature and offered a credit note instead. As this was a trip of a lifetime for us we were happy with the credit note as we had every intention of completing the trip asap after covid. However we are now trying to do the trip in 2022 but this company are refusing to answer calls or respond to emails. We do not know what to do next but they have £1100 of our money

We booked a tour for August 2020 but they cancelled it due to COVID and would only offer a credit - not a refund. They said they would try to buy back as many credits when they got back on their feet. We have asked for this now that Yosemite it back open but they haven't responded. We have tried to rebook the tour for this summer and the company will not return our calls or email messages. Our credit card company will not dispute the charge with them because the company offered a credit even though they will not honor it. Avoid. We are out $1K.

We booked a trip for Summer 2020 and was offered a Gift Card refund like others posted here. I now have been trying to rebook since autumn of 2021 with no emails or phone calls responded to. David this is a pretty disappointing customer promise and not what I would want to present as father to two children similar to you - I and sure this is the role model you want to create in making false promises and scamming people out of pocket.

As a group of 4, we had a fly fishing trip scheduled for 3:30, and our guides never showed up. I understand that things can happen, but not answering our calls or even giving us an email is beyond inconsiderate. Definitely would not recommend.

We just received your "Terrible", one star review and we are truly sorry that this is the way your family felt because of the unfortunate, unplanned and unpredictable event that took place on the day of your booked tour.
You are the first guests to ever have a "Terrible" experience with our small, family owned and operated guiding business and if you could have read any of our other 73 five star reviews, you would see that this is not the way our company wants guests to experience Yosemite. We always go above and beyond to make sure our guests receive the best chance to create lasting memories with their families and we wish you could see that we were also extremely upset that this was the outcome for your family!
We are very sorry that your family had to wait for 2 hours before receiving a call from our office and that you were unable to experience your 5 hour fly fishing tour because our SUV broke down on the day of your trip. You mentioned all the things that made you upset but you neglected to mention all of the other parts of the equation that took place.
You left out that our SUV did brake down, that we called you as soon as we got word from our guide that there was a problem, which took two hours because our guide had to walk two miles to get news to us after they tried to fix the SUV so they could still make it to pick you up, that they couldn't get phone reception because we work in the mountains of the Sierra Nevada's or that we sent you a personal check for $100 dollars to pay for your $30 fishing licensees and $70 for gas and extra things that you might of spent for your trip to try and show you that this was not planned and that we were truly sorry for this event; all of this was left out of your "Terrible" review and in doing so, you've chosen to tell others that you wouldn't recommend us to them.
If we were truly "Terrible", we would have many 1 or 2 star reviews and future guests would be able to see that we lack the quality that they are looking for in a private tour company.
Yet, you've decided to forgo the "Spirit" of our company in regards to all our other amazing reviews so you could let the TripAdvisor world know about our first and hopefully, last unfortunate event!
We know that you are upset about this unfortunate event and we completely understand, the last thing we ever wanted was to be a part of your family not experiencing a first class adventure during your visit to Yosemite!!
Creating unforgettable, lasting memories with family is extremely important and this is why we started this company! We are great at what we do and we are sorry you didn't get to experience that!!
Again, we are sorry that this happened and we accept your review and we want you to know that as a small family owned and operated business, we are heart broken that this happened to your family! We are truly, truly sorry!!!
All our best,
David Furry and

What a wonderful private tour! We spend a full day enjoying Yosemite National Park with Yosemite Family Adventures! Our guide was extremely knowledgable and his relaxed personality made him feel like part of the family! We got to see the Giant Sequoias, Yosemite Falls and much, much more during our one day visit. My son got a little tired because he wasn't feeling good that day and I will never forget that Trent actually carried him up the trail for almost a mile on his shoulders! Just enough to get him feeling better! These guys will do anything they can to make sure you have a first class experience, from start to finish!
I've now learned that you need more than one day to experience this park, but if you only have one day, you must spend it with Yosemite Family Adventures! They will go above and beyond your needs in order to make sure you have a memorable experience!
We will be back one day and I'll be giving them a call for sure!
Thanks again Trent!

Our guide was very knowledgeable answering most of our questions. I found it difficult to hear what he was saying when in the back of the van. We could have hiked a couple more trails. Overall, it was an good tour filled with beautiful views from above the valley of Yosemite.

Thank you for taking time out of your day to let us know more about your personal Yosemite experience. We strive to provide high quality, private tours and every bit of feedback is taken with an open heart.
I'm truly sorry to hear that you had problems hearing things in the back of the van, this isn't usually a problem as our team members tend to have large, powerful voices. There can be times when we have larger groups that it can get tough to talk over others in the van, that are having small conversations, in order to provide information about Yosemite. Our team members do their best to make sure to involve everyone in the group to the best of their ability.
It's good to hear that you wanted to do more hiking during your tour because this park has wonderful hiking options. Unfortunately, it can be hard to hike more than the majority of the group wants to hike. Your group hiked the Mist Trail the day before your private Glacier Point tour and many members of your group requested that your guide make sure to not hike to much and to try and customize their private tour to meet that requirement because they were still sore from the day before. I believe another member of your group wrote below that it was "the best tour we took in Yosemite" and like I stated earlier, we do our best to make sure the group as a whole is satisfied and we know that this can be a challenge for our team members at times.
Again, we are truly sorry that your experience wasn't what you had in mind and we will take your review and use it to provide better service to future guests. Thanks again for taking the time to share your experience with others.

We are coming to Yosemite in early Sept to visit for several days. We are concerned because of the fires going on . We are thinking of rerouting and going to another park instead even though our heart was set on Yosemite. Any suggestions for what to do or where to go? We are staying in San Francisco before going to Yosemite and are thinking of going straight from there to another location. Any help is appreciated!

We were lucky to escape the fire by a few days - I would try your best to get to Yosemite - it’s breathtaking - just keep an eye out for fires - I think the one which recently affected will be long gone

We are a family of 4 -- two adults and two thirteen year old twin boys -- who are beginner hikers and were interested in availability for a private guided tour and/or hike on either Monday, August 20th or Tuesday, August 21st. We are staying in Yosemite at the Majestic, checking-in on Sunday, August 19th.
We appreciate your recommendations. -cindi

Hi. I will be traveling to Yosemite on August 17-19th with my 12 year old daughter. We would like to book a whole day tour. We have never gone on a hiking tour before. Could you recommend a tour and cost? Also, do you arrange lodging as well?

Looking to make the trip out there for a week. Looking for a 4-5 day hiking/camping excursion. No dats have been picked yet so we wanted to know when are the best times of the year to visit and some pricing. We would have a couple kids, but all hike already. Could be anywhere from 6-10 of us.

Você tem guia falando português? E nos acompanha em todos os pontos de visitação do Park com transporte , visto que meu filho não está acostumado a andar muito

Hi All, We are visiting Yosemite (part of a month long Californian adventure) in august as a family of 4 from the UK. We only have 1 full day, 2 nights in Yosemite and are wondering what the best tours would be to do with a 4 and 6 year. Both are very active and love walking and the outdoors.
Any recommendations greatly appreciated. Thanks. Vicki

What makes our private tours so special, is simply that we can customize any one of our tours to accommodate all needs and requests, and we feel confident that your two little ones will have a wonderful time in the park with one of our amazing local guides. I would suggest a custom hiking tour from 8am to 6pm, and we would customize it for your little ones to enjoy. We also have our one day adventure that runs from 8am to after sunset, and it would allow you to see three of the five areas of the park in one relaxed tour day. Fill free to give us a call at 209-985-1799 and we'd be happy to start customizing the best day in Yosemite for your family.

I have a group meeting coming up in April and most of the people are from all over the US and have never been to Yosemite. The ages are 40-68 year olds. We are staying just outside the park at Tenaya Lodge and need a group tour to see most of Yosemite since this may be the only time they will stay this close. Can we do a hike away from tourists, plus see the main sites of Yosemite Falls and Glacier Point and lunch or preferably dinner at Ahwahnee. There will be about 20 people.

First off, Thank You Leslie and Pat for the wonderful words in regards to what we can provide! :) It puts a smile on my face to read such kindness from you two!
Now for your question K2ernski in regards to your group of 20. I think the best thing to do would be to give me a call at 209-985-1799 and that way I can give you a rundown on what your group would have the chance to experience during their visit.
We can accommodate almost all of your requests, but I'm sure that Glacier point road will be closed during April due to snow pack and you will not be able to get up there to experience that side of the park, but there are other areas you can visit that will deliver amazing views of Yosemite.
Please know that we are in our "Super" busy season and if I do not pick up, I will give you a call back asap! :)
Happy 4th of July and thanks for showing interest in joining us on a Yosemite adventure during your visit.

Hello! Our family of five is planning a visit to a few National Parks the summer of 2017. We have 3 boys ages 10-16. Our oldest boy uses a wheelchair and while we would really like to include him in some of the Yosemite adventures (if there are any that are accessible), we are also open to doing some things the our other two boys would enjoy (swimming and hiking). We are considering a 3-4 day stay in Yosemite and we are also considering where to stay....hotel or camping? We know that camping would be challenging with our oldest, but we'd be willing to try it.
