Driving into Yosemite on Hwy. 41, it never gets old to drive through the tunnel and come out with the spectacular view of the valley. In summer the parking area is usually crowed with cars and tour buses. In December, there were few tourists.

Worth going there just for pictures or as part of your trip to Glacier Point (a bit of a drive however).

This is the most photographed place in the world!!! No joke. Be careful when coming out of the tunnel as it is right in your left. And it's always busy but, STOP! It's amazing!!!

Tunnel view, which is basically a view of the entire Yosemite Valley from a single vista, is breathtaking. Located right off of highway 41 as you leave the valley to head to Wawona, it is a must stop and see. If you have time to only take one photo in Yosemite, be sure you take it from tunnel view.

What a superb location for one of the finest views you could hope to experience. On a perfect day the morning scenery was unsurpassable. A must visit for any visitor to Yosemite.

The view at sunset is ever changing and beautiful. Not to be missed. It is always crowded, but people are pretty nice about stepping aside where you can get that perfect shot.

This is the view that Yosemite is known for -- it's a must see when you visit the park. If you take the bus tour (highly recommended) it stops here, or you can drive up yourself. Spectacular at sunrise and sunset, beautiful any time of day.

Everyone kept telling us how we had to stop at Tunnel View. First - there is not signage. There is a pull-out before/after the tunnel (so either can be considered Tunnel View). Honestly - it was over crowded. It took at least 30 minutes to get to the edge of the sidewalk to get a picture without someone photo bombing... More

This- by far- is the best right off the road pull out view of the valley and quite frankly one of the best in the park. just outside the valley on way to Glacier Point- you MUST stop and take a pic or two or just simply breathe in the air- feel the light breeze against your face and marvel... Do not miss it. Magical with snow! The bus/tram paid tours stop at the Tunnel View - -long enough for plenty of photo taking. Bus if you enter Yosemite Valley via hwy #140 from Merced you will miss the Tunnel, unless you back track following signs to Fresno after entering the West Gate.
