Nature in its most glamour. The giant grizzly and the walk between the trees is amazing The fallen tunnel tree is not worth the extra walk. You can't visit Yosemite and not see the mariposa grove

Located close to the south entrance to Yosemite, these trees are about an hour's drive from Yosemite Valley, if already in the park. From the car park there are a number of trails you can follow, details of which, along with their sights are posted...More

While the giant sequoias were beautiful, they are growing among the charred remnants of a "prescribed burn". I undrstand the explanation given, but also think back to a time before man began "taking care" of the forests. They seeem to have gotten along just fine....More

They have a tram for those who do not like to hike up two miles with a medium elevation. It is $26.00 per person and includes a documentary. We hiked up. We went to Muir Woods which we loved but did not see as many...More

As we arrived in Fish Camp in the afternoon, and did not want to drive all the way to the valley floor, our hostess directed us to this short walk just inside the Yosemite National Park gates. It is a lovely walk among the giant...More

No photo can do these trees justice, and there aren't enough words to convey their grandieur. This is a MUST for anyone traveling to the Yosemite area. The tram trip is good for those who don't want to hike in the 5000-6500 ft. height, and...More

We went there in the beginning of the winter - last week of November. It was snowy but the road was still open - thanks God! I wouldn't miss the grove for nothing, but the road being open helped a lot! The giant sequoias are...More

The amazing grove is awe inspiring. The tour is bumpy, and dusty in open tailers behind a big rig. Cover the kids , eyes and noses same for Gmom.Worth the trip.

These are the most beautiful trees you will ever see. The size of these redwoods are unbelievable. When you take a picture of a person next to these trees the person looks like an ant. Awesome to see!
