If you are looking for some reprieve while in the park, then this is a definite must-see. Food/drinks are a tad overpriced but you are definitely paying for the ambiance. If you get drinks from the restaurant/bar be sure to take them out to the lobby areas and sit outside of one of the fires. A definite for architecture fans.

Even if you are not staying here it is sure worth a visit. It is a beautiful hotel in the National Park. We walked around the lobby and peeked in the restaurant. We sat on the patio on a great fall afternoon and enjoyed a drink. The view is great. It is a beautiful historic hotel. It is in Yosemite... More

This is a privately owned/operated property and has recently changed the name to The Majestic Yosemite Hotel. Lovely main floor, beautiful gift shop. Watch the staff light the grand fireplace. We did enjoy 'Irish Nut Coffee' outside in the courtyard.

If mother nature could build hotels this would definitely be one of them. From the view of Half Dome from your room, wonderful meals in the grand dining hall, afternoon tea in yet another grand room, this is the place you want to stay to enhance what is already an incredible site to behold - Yosemite.

Beautiful Log lodge in the middle of a beautiful national park surrounded by several monuments such as half dome. Animals that are so use to people you can stand as close to a deer as 10 ft or closer . so peaceful and full of history

I always love visiting this hotel! Grab a glass of wine or hot chocolate and have a wander around the hotel until story telling time around the fire at 7pm. Thanks cory from Joesburg?story capital town of the world in Tennessee!

Historical Landmark with great appeal for history-lovers. Personally I think it is somewhat over-prized but it is worth a visit, even if it is only for a meal to soak up the ambiance.

They may have had to change the name due to a legal dispute with the former licence holders but the history & majesty of this place remains. Stunning backdrop, lovely facilities & grounds, where a short walk past the wedding lawn finds a picture postcard photo opportunity or two ! Take a step back in time to just watch &... More

The Ahwahnee was wonderful experience. It was like stepping back in time in a very good way. It has a rich history feel. It is neat that you are tucked in around mountains of granite. It reminds me of the El Tovar at the Grand Canyon. Great experience ! Make sure you try the Capitini !

Furniture, photos, tapestries, stories all signify a rich and interesting past. This was the place to be for many years. Just a walk around the lobby is a blast.
