I had only climbed indoor prior to taking a beginning class here. Our instructor, Bill G, was super fun and had a great attitude. There were four of us in the class (6 max I believe), and we all had a great time. All classes meet at 8:30 AM but they are not strict about the time. And we are... More

Nate took out our 7 yr old aspiring climber, and I cannot express what a great experience it was for him. We arrived jetlagged which wasn't the best start, but Nate quickly found a way to get our guy going and kept him far more motivated than I thought was possible all day long. I can't say enough good things... More

Quite frankly, this course way exceeded my expectations. You will get technical training, plus all the actual climbing you can handle. Did the 'Go Climb A Rock' beginner course as I have no climbing experience, and 2 days later took "Crack Climbing" Highly recommend both Jeff and Josh..they went above and beyond..very thorough, hands on, but also challenge and push... I had Nate as a guide and we climbed a 5.8-5.9 multi pitch climb in Yosemite valley in the Five Open Books area above Camp 4. We climbed nine pitches and had an incredible view of the valley, Half Dome and the Lower Yosemite Falls the whole climb. It was amazing and Nate was one of the best guides I... More

Our background is indoor climbing (30 foot walls) in our gym. After a short chat with our guide (Aaron), we agreed to a multi-pitch climb at a mountain beside El Capitan (600 feet). Aaron, was knowledgable, supportive, helpful, and cool as a cucumber (with a great sense of humor). We successfully (and safely) made it up to the top of... More

We signed up for the "Go Climb a Rock" lesson, as we all had zero experience. The guides were great! (Aaron and Mark) Extremely patient and safety conscious. Though it does not look too intimidating, climbing up the rock wall was a challenge and a great sense of accomplishment after you have done it. There were some in the party... More

Had an 8 your hike booked with the purpose of bring guided through the Valley and learn from an experienced guide. We were guided, but was welcomed by a guide that did not at all show any enthusiasm. We have had quite a few tours with guide around the World - this was far from the best standards.
