Enjoy the beauty of Sea Kayaking in Yellowstone by getting off the beaten...

Enjoy the beauty of Sea Kayaking in Yellowstone by getting off the beaten path, on a single or multi-day backcountry sea kayak tour. For over 20 years we have been showing our guests the absolute best way to experience the natural wonders of Yellowstone National Park by kayaking away from the crowds on Yellowstone Lake or Lewis and Shoshone Lakes. Established in 1872, Yellowstone National Park is America’s first national park, and one of the best inland paddling destinations in the world. The clear water and high mountain lakes of the greater Yellowstone area provide a truly unique kayaking experience. Yellowstone is home to a large variety of wildlife including grizzly bears, wolves, bison, and elk. Preserved within Yellowstone is the largest concentration of active geysers in the world – approximately half of the world’s total.Paddling away from the crowds you will see a side of Yellowstone few ever do.

My family (husband and I and kids aged 12 and 14) had a lovely day with Geyser Kayak. We booked the 1-day (6 hour) trip on Lake Yellowstone. The guides were very friendly and knowledgable and our large group (about 20) was able to break up into 3 smaller groups - one with each guide - so that we could... More

My wife and I along with 8 friends took a 6 day guided Kayak tour of the southeast arm of Yellowstone Lake with Geyser Kayak. Our guides, Jason and Peter, were excellent. They were knowledgeable and safe (very important on a lake that can change without notice). The food was very good and plentiful, somehow they managed to anticipate our... More

We were fortunate to have Brian as our guide and be the only two on the paddle. His knowledge of the area and wildlife. The kayak equipment was prefect for us. We had 6 delightful hours.

My husband and I reserved the kayaking tour in advance. When we arrived at Yellowstone, the fall weather stayed true to its reputation and we were concerned our kayaking trip would be soggy and cold. We called and spoke with Steve, who allowed us to change our booking to a different date with more promising weather at no extra charge.... More

We had a great time on this kayak tour. Keep in mind that the later in the season you go, the greater chance of bad weather. They had to cancel the day before because it was snowing/sleeting but we had a rather perfect day. Our only complaint was that the price was a little steep for what it was, but... More

The Sunset Kayak trip was great!! Our guide, Brian, was great and shared so many great tid-bits of information about the geysers and the history of Yellowstone as we paddled past the geysers and the elk along the lake. My husband and I experienced Yellowstone in a way we never could have imagined!

A very fun trip. My friend and I went and had a lot of fun. We had ever gone kayaking before so we were pretty behind everyone else and could barely hear our tour guide. That aside, it was an interesting tour and we learned tons. Our guide was Brian, he knew his stuff and was super laid back. The... More

End of August tour. Wonderful paddle along the shore of Lake Yellowstone with up close views of thermal features and wildlife. Definitely a highlight of our trip. I called in the morning and spots were available for that evening. Easily made the reservation over the phone. Highly recommended.

We did the overnight trip from Lewis Lake to Shoshone Lake with our two boys ages 10 and 12. It was an experience none of us will forget. The scenery is just beautiful. It was great to have the chance to get away from the crowds and see a little of Yellowstone's back country. And having an experienced guide with... More

Loved the Day Paddle tour, 5+ hours out on Yellowstone Lake with unique views of the West Thumb Geyser Basin. It was great being out on the peaceful and relatively open lake, away from the crowds and hubbub of the popular tourist attractions in the park. Don't get me wrong: those attractions are well worth visiting even with the crowds,... More
