The boat takes you out and around a limited area but the crew is very enlightening and that is where the fun begins. You get a good history and also see sights from the water. Relaxing time.

We went to a lake shore and relaxed there. Nice warm weather welcomed us. We walked along the beach. Serene and safe to wander.

We stayed at the Lake Lodge Cabins and were able to take a very short walk down to the lake. The view at sunset was absolutely stunning! Colored rock formations, grass in the forefront, and clear skies created a real sense of wonder and calm....More

Fantastic views of the lake. We picnicked here on our way down to the Teton's. The area had some great dining and gift shops, and was not at all crowded. Great place to spend a day!

While the drive is relaxing and the views are great it is not the most beautiful lake in the area. A nice change from the mud pits and geysers. Lots of places to stop for easy access photo opportunities. Worth the time to visit.

We drove along the shore of this lake while touring Yellowstone. The lake was quite peaceful and good for photos. There are spots along the lake that have quite a few hot springs bubbling.

Absolutely beautiful. So many beautiful views throughout the drive. Many great photo opportunities. Different trails take you to the lake. Many great fishing spots, as well.

Many viewing opportunities with pull outs and trails. We stayed at the Grant Village Lodge and the Yellowstone Lake cabins. Not the best food or lodging at either site.

I do not believe you can get to the lake in the winter. Many of the roads and most of the facilities are closed in the winter. The lake is in the lower East side of the park and the main open area is in the North West... More
